Hello, I have a file that contains a field with multiple pieces of attribute data for one entry. The data in the field is separated by a semi-colon. I need to create a separate polygon for each attribute in that field. Is this even a possibility, or am I going to have to copy each polygon multiple times and delete the attributes I don't want from each entry? I hope this makes sense. See the attached image... Basically I want the info in the second column, to be broken into each, individual code to have its own polygon. Thanks Larisa

I am honestly at my wits end! I have tried so many different fixes that I have read about...but my toolbars will not stay where I put them! No matter what I do, when I open Arcmap, they are all over the place. I am using ArcGIS 10.2.1. Is this still a bug that has not been fixed, or is my machine truly haunted? any help would be great! Hi Folks, I am trying to geocode some accident collision data (intersection) but each intersection point is defined with an offset distance and direction of the collision. For example: a collision at an intersection of two streets has a field saying that it is, n N (north), 25m, one field has 25 and the other has the N. Any ideas how I can geocode these intersections with the offset? Thanks Larisa

It is a shapefile, that I have symbolized with Unique Symbols. If I don’t use unique symbols based on a selected field, the layer name will print in the legend, but as soon as I try to symbolize it differently it does this.

Hi, I have a very simple basic map viewer app published, but when I use the print function it will not display my legend item descriptions correctly. Instead of showing the legend items names, it defaults to "Override 1", "Override 2" etc... any ideas how I can get this to show the legend items descriptions? Thanks Larisa

Thank you Michael! I am going to try that...create the sd then import it with ArcGIS Server Manager. I was also looking into registering the data on the server, right now I get warning that the data is being "copied" onto the server. It is all coming from a file geodatabase. I have multiple services and it is hit or miss if this happens when I publish them. I am not really find a lot of consistency. But it does happen more frequently with the larger more detailed mxd's hence services. Thank you Jonathan! I did take a look at the error logs in Server Manager. I had two severe warning with this long error number, but no description. I am going to do what you suggest and try it again. I appreciate it! Larisa

Hello, I know this is a topic that gets discussed a lot, but I am out of ideas, so I am asking the Community for any input. I have a mxd that I am publishing out as a map service. This map service goes to a server that sits "outside" of our fire wall, that is it a service that will be viewed in apps by the public. When I go to overwrite this existing map service and publish out, I get this error: "Packaging succeeded, but publishing failed. Error 001369: Failed to create the service." I then check the error log and messages in Acrmap and get this message. What happens next is what really confuses me. The service that I was trying to overwrite is gone from the server and ArcGIS Server Manager. A .sd file gets created in a folder on my local drive. If I delete this .sd file...and reopen Arcmap, I can successfully create a new service. The path it shows is this: C:\Users\johnstl\AppData\Local\ESRI\Desktop10.2\Staging\arcgis on myservername(publisher). Here is where I see the .sd file that is named the same as my service. as soon as I delete this I can republish no problem. I have no idea what is going on. HELP! This does not happen every time either and I have many services that I publish to the same server I have remade the mxd a dozen times. thanks Larisa

I have 4 fields to add. I suppose I can add them individually. I was not sure what the best method was. Do I just add in 4 instances of the Add Field tool and connect them all back to the original file?

Hi folks, I am very new to model builder and I am kind of stuck. I have one file that I need to add multiple new fields too. I know I need to use an Iterator... Multivalue?? But I am not sure HOW to actually use it. I don't think I am entering the parameters correctly. any help would be great.... Thank you
