Hello, Can anyone help me out...I have a list of values in my Survey where you can only pick one response. What I would like to do is have a default value populate if that question is skipped. Basically I would like to have a "None or N/A" as a default response to that question. I have added that to the default question in the survey, but it did not work. I am not using data from an outside source or a csv or anything...just my Excel form from Survey123. This is all kind of new to me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. These are some snap shots of what my data looks like. (see attached) thanks Larisa

Good Morning Is there a way to add multiple layers from a web service to a web map at once and have them all as individual layers in the web map? I have a large ArcGIS Server services that has well over 100 layers. I need it in a web map , but I need to create layers groups in that web map and as far as I can see the only way to do that is to import each layer in separately and then add it to a layer groups that I create. Any ideas on how to do this all at once? A script of some sort? Thanks Larisa

Thanks. Yeah, I know, but after digging around, I found a spreadsheet template with the conversions calculations all set, so I just have to type or copy and paste the data into it. thanks for getting back to me.

Hi, I have Excel spreadsheets that happen to have mixed x y coordinates. Some records are in Lat Long and other are in UTM NAD83 (Zone17). This happens often with teh data I get back from my client. I can't change what they are doing. So I need to convert it. I would like to keep the data in Excel and not have to pop it in and out of ArcGIS to do the conversions, because I do have to return eh data to them in Excel format. Does anyone have a macro or some sort of batch processor that will allow be to convert from Lat Long to UTM with my conversion NAD83(Zone17)? Thanks Larisa

Hello, Can anyone help me configure the search option on a hosted feature layer that I am using in an Experience that I am building? The current search I am using will only return results if they are exact. Is there any way to make this return all results that contain the word I am searching? Thanks Larisa

Hello, I would like to use one of the many world vector tile maps as a basemap for a map that I am creating in ArcMap. The problem I am having is that I can search for and select the vector tile base map that I want to use, but it will not display in Arcmap. I must be missing something fundamental that I can't figure out. It is one of the Antique style vector maps. any ideas what I am doing wrong? thanks Larisa

We are trying to simplify processes that we do almost on a daily basis as we have a lot of new staff that will be publishing services. So I was asked to "automate" some updates to a data base which update a mxd, spit out a pdf and it also needs to be published as a service for ArcGIS Sever to be consumed in our Geocortex apps. I have everything working in my model EXCEPT getting it to create the service in Manager.

Does anyone know how I can use scripts in a model to publish a map service to ArcGIS Server Manger from an mxd? I know that I have been circling around the answer and the correct code for days now, but I have two problems...1) I cannot quite get python script to work and 2) I am not sure how to actually add it to a model. I am new to this. I have used the code provided from this link: CreateMapSDDraft—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop and I can get it to run without errors, BUT I have no idea where my sdraft is...or if it has worked. It looks like it does nothing. I am not sure where the files go! And then to top it off, I need to have this run in a model. Any help on where (file location) I should be looking for my published service would be great. I know I am missing something small and fundamental. Thanks Larisa

Thanks Stefano, I am not exactly sure how to go about doing that. I am all very new to this. I have read that I could possibly run a submodel in a model, but I am not sure HOW to get a submodel to run...would that be useful? This is all very confusing to me.

I have to create a process where once an Excel spreadsheet is updated a model is run to create a series of geocodes and joins to finally spit out a new file in a gdb. I have that down and it works...but I also need that map and the data that belongs to it, exported to pdf. I have that tool, but I am not sure how to link it all up in one model. HELP?! I would normally just run my model, open up the updated mxd and then export it, but I am creating this for people who do not know ArcGIS/ArcMap. They update the spreadsheet, have access to run the model and that is all. The final product that is needed is a pdf of the map. Any ideas on how I can add the "Export map to PDF" in Model Builder once the final files from that model have run and have been added to my mxd?? Thanks Larisa

Thank you Dan and Jake! I figured it was a multistep process, I just could not get my head around how to start. Thanks for the info. I am going to give it a try and get back to you!

No, it is just one polygon, (not a multipart polygon), with multiple pieces of data, seperated by semi colon. I am just not sure I am ready to manually create new polygons and attached data to them. I have an image I attached of what my attribute table looks like. So if we look at the first record (FID 0), you can see a column with N8T 3B5;N8T 3B6.... in this case I would need two polygons on top of each other, one with an attribute of N8T 3B5 and another with an attribute of N8T 3B6. I am sure there is a model or script of something I can use to create such a beast...just can't wrap my head around how! lol!

Thank you, but I did try this tool and it unfortunately does not give me the results I need. There is multiple pieces of data in one field and I need each piece of data made into it's own polygon. The data in the record is separated by a semi-colon. thanks
