@AlfredBaldenweck By 'dragged-in layer', could you please elaborate on that? Did you add multiple copies of the same layer to the map through ArcGIS Online?

I've received an update that there is a known issue with the Esri basemaps that's causing this slow download behavior. This issue is currently being looked into. I don't have an ETA on the fix at this point, but hopefully it will be soon. I will post an update when that issue has been addressed.

Thanks for the information @DougBrowning Just to be clear, the offline areas aren't failing necessarily, they are just really slow and taking longer than usual to complete for the same maps. Correct? Was this something you just noticed this week or fairly recently? It's a bit early to tell what the reason is, but we've also noticed slower than normal download behavior as well over the last couple of days. I am curious if the stalling is around the part in the download process related to the Esri basemap. Also because you're seeing the issue across all three mobile apps, could point to an ArcGIS Online issue. However I am still trying to get more details on the issue to see if that's the case. Currently I am seeing the same issue as will in Field Maps with a map I've used many times in the past and that I own. Very simple map using the Imagery basemap. The downloading has been processing for over 30min now. You may hold off on sharing the map with me now...since I am likely seeing the same problem anyway. Thanks -Kevin

@RafaeldePedro Thank you sharing this feedback. - Are you working on iOS or Android with Collector? - You've indicated that this is less of an issue with Field Maps vs Collector. Is there a reason why you cannot use Field Maps instead of Collector? (Also not just for this issue, but even just in general to leverage all the new capabilities as well) - Was this an issue that just recently started happening in Collector (vs Classic) or has it worked in the past using Collector with the same maps and services? - Is this the only map you're experiencing download issues with or others as well? - If possible would you be able share the web map and services with me to test on my end? Thanks -Kevin

Hi @RobynSnookCCB Thank you for that feedback. In the recent release of ArcGIS Field Maps v21.2 on both iOS and Android we addressed the issue where you needed to have `Use in ArcGIS Collector` enabled in order to edit in Field Maps. This should no longer be the case and you should be able to disable the use in Collector and retain the ability to edit in Field Maps. - Are you working with the current release of Field Maps? - Are you able to disable use in ArcGIS Collector and still edit in Field Maps if so? Thanks -Kevin

Hi, I also wanted to share that in the recent release of ArcGIS Online, if an existing map that includes a configured smart form is opened in the Classic Map Viewer, if that map were saved through that version of the map viewer, the form information should no longer be removed. Prior to this release, this was not the case and you would lose the form if the map were saved using the Classic MV. Thanks -Kevin

Hi @erica_poisson Sorry for the delay, I will check to make sure, but I doubt that running Reset Required Fields for the main hosted feature service item will update any associate views as well, since those are separate feature service items, despite being related to the source FS. The tool requires an item id being added as input prior to running, so therefore it's likely that each item id for the views will need to be ran separately. How many views are you working with? Thank you -Kevin

Thank you for the information @CarsonG Just for clarification, the map includes a point layer that is Z-enabled, however when you attempt to use arcade to calculate the z value into a field using something like geometry($feature).z, nothing is populated. Is that correct? In ArcGIS Pro, are you using Calculate Geometry to display the Z value? Would you be able to share that map with me with some test data? Thank you -Kevin

Hi @SheldonBina2 That is correct. In this case because the elevations are coming from Zeno Connect with a vertical coordinate system of NAVD88 in meters, once Field Maps supports vertical datum transformations, the app should be able to transform into NAVD88 in feet. However because Field Maps doesn't currently support vertical datum transformations, the elevations obtained from Zeno Connect remain as-is in units of meters. This is why I suggested that since the elevation values themselves are accurate from Zeno Connect and all that's needed is a unit conversion, you could use the Project geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro to vertically transform to NAVD88 in feet. Or, if all that's needed is the actual elevation values themselves, you could use ArcGIS Pro to add the Z values from the features geometry into the attribute table and then simply use the Field Calculator to convert to feet. This of course doesn't update the values that are still part of the geometry still being in meters. With regards to horizontal transformations, yes, this happens in Field Maps per the Location Profile configured and the datums/projections chosen between the GNSS correction service and the web map's spatial reference. Thank you -Kevin

Hi @MatthewKing When you say "...trying to find the right balance between accuracy and time." would you be able to elaborate on what your concern is with these settings? Are you trying to determine how many positions should be averaged? Similarly for Streaming, are you trying to determine which time interval to set? i.e. 1 sec, 5 sec, etc. Thank you -Kevin

@Anonymous User Thank you for that information. I published my own copy of your Timber Points feature service on my end so that I can test with it further. I saw the same issue where the types in the JSON still was not listing all the values I listed above even after I chose 'Save Layer'. Therefore I tried this and it appeared to work, which is strange. 1. In the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer choose 'Edit' 2. At the bottom choose 'Manage'. 3. Next to one of the templates, such as 'Directional felling', choose the arrow and choose 'Properties' 4. At the top where is says 'Label', make a simple change such as deleting and re-adding back the letter 'g' for 'felling'. Essentially we just need to make a simple change to trigger the 'Save Changes' button to be active. 5. Click Done 6. Choose 'Save Changes'. This process should update the JSON of the feature service and add in all the missing types. I verified this on my end in Field Maps and can now see all the missing templates. This is what I was trying to achieve with 'Save Layer', but apparently these aren't the same processes. Please try this and let me know if that works. Thank you -Kevin
