dude, almost got me nervous there ... 🙂 but it's working here. make sure you use CE2014 and check the 'useGeoRef' parameter to be true Example code:
tex = "/maps/mySatellitePic.jpg"
elev = "maps/myElevationMap.tif"
l = ce.addAttributeLayer('Terrain', tex, elev, True) But please note that usually, only 1 terrain is supported per scene. Are you collecting the tiles in 1 scene ? Lemme know .. matt

hi .. I had one implementation, then one of the devs helped to simplify the code: attr minA = 3 attr minB = 50 attr minC = 2 attr minD = 12 findMin(valList, index, min) = case (index < 0): min else: case(float(listItem(valList, index)) < min): findMin(valList, index-1, float(listItem(valList, index))) else: findMin(valList, index-1, min) findMin(valList) = findMin(valList, listSize(valList)-1, float(listItem(valList, listSize(valList)-1))) Shape --> print (findMin(str(minA) + ";" + str(minB) + ";" + str(minC) + ";" + str(minD) + ";") ) let me know if this works .. m.

Hi, CE does not support SDE. You'll need to convert your data. There's no way around this atm. Matt

hi, sorry, but it's unclear to me what the issue is you have. Does something now work in 2014 which worked in 2013 ? Please describe very clearly what you are doing, maybe with a few screenshots. 🙂 matt

hi, CityEngine is not designed to do this. CE cannot process LIDAR data. There's companies that can process it and derive the 3D Model from it ( possibly untextured though ). I'd recommend you use such a service. Otherwise, you may try if ArcGIS can process the things to get your desired output .. Matt

I'm not sure what this could be. But probably a tiny change in CGA. For CE2014, please create a new Workspace, that's highly recommended. Then, print the texture name in the code which textures your roofs to see if the code actually assigns the texture and just the projection is wrong. Let me know .. m.

Hey. hmm. this sounds like a bug. can you post the file with all metadata needed in a zip file ? if you can't post the data, please send me a PM with your mail address. as a workaround for now: try to use the con() from the raster calculator tool in ArcGIS to move up all points in the file by 50 meters. Then, in CE, use the terrain's vertical offset to move the terrain down by 50 meters. Matt
