Hey Jacqueline, Where is your data hosted? Is it an ArcGIS Online hosted feature service or a feature service from ArcGIS for Server? If ArcGIS for Server, what version are you using, what DBMS are you using, and what version is your geodatabase at? -Scott

Hey Claire, It is possible to copy the attributes and location, just the attributes, or just the location of a feature when editing in Collector. To do this, select the feature you're interested in copying and choose the context menu for that feature (in Android the gray arrow in the bottom-right corner). In the context menu, the option to Copy will let you choose from the three choices I listed above. This will work with the same feature layer, but will give you the ability to create coincident features. -Scott

Hey Emily, The size of data being downloaded shouldn't be a limiting factor, but I would recommend downloading data for the area they will be working in to ensure that isn't the case. To test this out, can you use one of the mobile devices that exhibited this behavior in the office and delete its downloaded dataset? When downloading the data again, choose a smaller area of interest, closer to the area a field worker would cover in one day. Does the application delay in the same way it did previously? About how many features/attachments were downloaded to the device? Since you've overwritten the service and deleted the disconnected dataset from the device, there should not be a difference between what exists in the service and what exists on the device. As an additional step in this process, could you also create a new web map to see if the behavior remains after a new service, new web map, and new download are used? What does the data look like that you've published to ArcGIS Online for this service? Are there many related tables? Are there any SQL reserved words for field names (ex. FILE, ADD, SCHEMA, etc.)? The size of the photo attachments should not be a concern. It sounds like the slow performance you're seeing is occurring on the device itself when committing edits and attachments to disk. The tests and questions above can help us narrow down where the issue may be occurring. Please let me know if you have any other questions or additional information. Thanks, Scott

Alberto, Is this a hosted feature service on ArcGIS Online that you could share? I would like to take a look at the changes you've made to see if anything stands out. Additionally, there is a bug with ArcGIS Online discussed in this thread: Re: Collector map not downloading which could be related to the issue you're encountering, since you're updating the service definition JSON. Thanks, Scott

Hey Emily, What is the area of interest you selected when downloading the data compared to the full dataset? Also, has the schema of the feature service been changed at all (eg. new fields added, domains updated, etc.)? What are you attempting to do when Collector crashes, is this when the app is opened, when attempting to collect a feature, when syncing, etc? Does the same behavior exist on other iPads when downloading the data to edit in a disconnected environment? Any clarification you can offer may help us to better dissect the issue. Thanks, -Scott

The release should be live in the App Store and Google Play now. They were made available earlier this week. Please be sure to reply on this thread if this issue or any similar issues with related tables continues to happen, as we would like to investigate these concerns. Thanks, Scott

Hey Kristen, The issue you and the other posters have encountered here has been identified as the following bug: BUG-000086128: The 'contentType' parameter becomes empty when using the 'updateDefinition' operation for a hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online. This issue is directly related to changing the symbology, domain ordering, etc. for a hosted feature service. The updateDefinition operation wipes out the contentType, which causes Collector to not be able to interpret the drawingInfo for your feature layers. The bug above is currently being addressed by the ArcGIS Online team to be included in the next release of Online in July. Please feel free to direct message me or reply on this thread if you have any additional questions. -Scott

Hey Peter, These are all great ideas! Could you add them individually to http://ideas.arcgis.com so other users can attach to it and provide feedback? This also will give our development team a clearer picture of what you'd like to see in the product. Don't forget to fully tag it so others can quickly search and promote these! -Scott

Hey Todd, When registering a folder over the network, you'll want to use Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) rather than a mapped network drive (Q:\). The mapped drive is associated with the user that creates it, so it'll cause some issues when ArcGIS for Server tries to access this location. ArcGIS for Server will use it's account, typically a local or domain "arcgis" account, to access the specified location. Since you'd be logged into the machine as "todd" rather than "arcgis", using the Q:\ mapped network drive will not be as recognizable by "arcgis" as a UNC path would be. The warning about UNC paths is also not something to be too concerned about. This is an acceptable format, but it may be warning you since accessing data over the network will be more cumbersome than copying it to the server or referencing an absolute path (C:\data).

Hey Jason, Thank you for posting this issue as well as posting the workaround you've devised to get your related tables working in Collector on iOS. I was unable to find an existing bug for this behavior, would you be able to contact Esri Support Services to get one logged? Please send me a message if you need assistance opening a case with support. -Scott

Hey Bledar, I noticed in your initial post that the following patch was not mentioned: ArcGIS 10.2.2 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) Geodatabase and Feature Service Sync Optimization Patch | Samples and Utilit… This may improve sync performance since you are at ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2, in addition to the other modifications outlined byMiaogeng Zhang previously.

Hey Marco, Are you able to take the parameters from the screenshot you've shared and submit them to the Utility Print Service on that ArcGIS for Server? What is the result when you pass this same information to that print service? Alternatively, are you able to create the same web map using the fully qualified domain name (ex. http://servername.esri.com:6080/arcgis/rest/services/SSigRA/AP_PresionesMinimasMaximasSimuladas/MapServer)? As you've noted, it is likely a problem with the custom projections for your operational layers. The above tests can help us remove other possible issues.

Hey Marco, I would be interested in seeing what your web browser is sending in its print request to the default print service. Could you capture the traffic using Fiddler Web Debugger, Firebug for Firefox, or the Developer Tools for Chrome? What is the WebMapAsJSON parameter submitted?

This looks like a possible bug with ArcGIS for Server. It doesn't seem to be populating the legend correctly with the dot density symbology. If possible, contact Esri Support Services to get associated with an existing bug or to log a new one for you and see if there is a possible workaround.
