If your feature service has lots of attachments (GDB exceeds 2GB), you can try downloading it through the method described at this link. This was a problem we encountered recently. If you don't have attachments, then tech support is the way to go.

Somewhat related requests: 1) It would be cool if you could make a selection (possibly appear in the layer attribute table) by interactively clicking on the chart segments. 2) It would be really nice if the color symbology of the Pie Chart Infographic (and any other ones with colors) could automatically match the web map layer symbology, if the same attribute is used for both. Right now, the pie chart color symbology doesn't even stay consistent as you zoom in/out and the category field visibilities change.

You can add new domain values to a hosted feature service via the "Solutions Deployment Tool" in Pro. While there, you can even move the values up/down in the list. That said, any re-arrangements you do in Pro do not translate to the AGOL hosted feature service, and all new values appear at the bottom of the list. This becomes an issue for field crew working with the domain dropdowns in Collector. Yes - they can type and search for values, which is probably a good idea when the list has dozens or hundreds of values. But when a list is small (say 10 domain values), it can be easier to select from the dropdown rather than typing.

Update: We were able to get the over-write to work with ArcGIS Pro. The new relationship class was created between Aldermanic / Polling Place, and the Local Representatives web map / app still worked. It still appears that ArcMap can't do the update when the hosted feature service was created by Esri apps.

Questions / Background: Scott Oppmann We used the new Solutions Deployment Tool in Pro to deploy the Polling Place "ElectoralDistricts" solution from Esri. It created the hosted feature service as well as the web map / app in our AGOL account. If we want to modify the hosted feature service, we encounter an error when trying to overwrite the service using the ArcMap process: File -> Share As -> Service -> Overwrite an existing service. The error message is: "Unable to overwrite service - Problem retrieving configuration from the server". This error message appears whenever we try to overwrite any hosted feature services that were created by Pro and/or Workforce (I assume any Esri COTS app). Questions: Is this result expected? If so, is there a proper way to overwrite these services with modified geodatabase schema? Or, is the overwrite restricted so that the Esri-deployed data model is not compromised? I tried the same overwrite using Pro, and that seems to have worked. But I have not tested it enough to know if there were any problems introduced by this. What we are trying to do: We need to slightly modify the ElectoralDistricts feature service to add a relationship class between Local Representative (Aldermanic) and Polling Place. We want to do this so that the "District Lookup" tool in WAB shows Aldermanic district instead of Ward (which is how the Esri solution sets it up). It works great if we publish a new hosted feature service with a different name. But we want to integrate with the existing Esri deployment if possible. We created this new relationship class using ArcCatalog in a local geodatabase copy of the ElectoralDistricts data model. All of the layers and attributes have the same name as the ones deployed in AGOL by the Solutions Deployment Tool.

The Solutions Deployment tool works great to create new domain values in an AGOL-hosted feature service. One *MAJOR* thing it is lacking: there is no way to sort the AGOL-hosted domain values, so new entries always show up at the bottom of the list.

It would be really nice if the LGIM was still published as a complete data model that could be examined in a geodatabase, even as more components shift to AGOL-only. The Solutions Deployment Tool in Pro works really well if you don't have to modify the table schema and don't have existing data to contend with. However, it is easier to use a geodatabase as a reference if you have large amounts of schema changes and/or legacy data to import...At least until I learn more about the data management tools in Pro (or as more tools are developed). Here is a quick example of a dilemma I recently encountered with the Solutions Deployment tool as compared to using the local GDB schema: We had to extend the "Owned By" domain to include more entities than the LGIM includes after the feature services were created. "Private", "Other" and "Our Agency" are the defaults -- we had to add other local government and utility units to the domain. When you use the Solutions Deployment Tool in Pro, numerous hosted feature services are automatically created in AGOL - we tested Poles, Streetlights, Signals, and Signal Control Boxes -- this created 4 hosted feature services. If you want to modify the "Owned By" domain, you have to do it for each of the feature services using the Solutions Deployment tool. Back in the geodatabase world: you only had to modify the domain once, it updated for all layers, and then you published from there to AGOL. Sidenote: There appears to be no way to sort domain values in AGOL at this time. This was possible with ArcCatalog and geodatabase. We have been using the LGIM model as a starting point for most new layers. That said, many of the new solutions are simply using the modern Esri COTS apps (Collector, Explorer, Web AppBuilder, etc) rather than the individual custom web apps / MXDs that were used when the LGIM was started. Therefore I can see why the underlying data model is less important. But we would still find the full LGIM model useful, provided we can easily decipher their design in a geodatabase.

Something like this already exists in the "Situation Awareness" widget, and I also think it would be very helpful in the Draw Widget. In the SA widget, you can "Save" your buffer to a hosted feature service: When you hit save, the buffer is stored in a polygon feature service that is hosted in our AGOL account. For this to work in the Draw widget, I would suspect you would need one of each type of feature service (point, line, poly, anno).

The "Show Measurements" functionality works great in the WAB Draw widget, but it is hard to see the text if you are using an aerial photo as a background map. Please add an option to have a halo or background box (see attached image). Also control over the text size and font would be nice. Thanks!

I'd be interested in any responses to this question as well. This might need to be added as an "Idea." You can control the zoom scale if the feature service referenced by the search is a Point. But not if it is a Line or Polygon.

This would be a *HUGE* help -- it seems like I have to rebuild AGOL web maps every time the underlying feature service (and registered ArcGIS Server "map image layer" services) are changed in any significant way - layers added, rearranged, etc. Back in the Flex Viewer days the layer IDs were handled in the "Config.xml" and various widget .xml files, so it was relatively easy to account for the changes. Now that it is done in the web map, it seems like those controls are more "concealed" and harder to control unless you are willing to edit the JSON. Also, the ArcMap data frame property "Allow assignment of unique numeric IDs for map service publishing" doesn't seem to help for some schema changes.

I just encountered the same problem listed above when setting up new Print widgets. The error returned is: "The URL is not a print task." Also, if I try to re-configure an existing print widget, I see a similar error. In the WAB apps, the print functionality is still working fine when it was previously configured. I'll hold off and try it again later this week after the AGOL patch has been installed.
