Be sure to vote this enhancement up on ArcGIS Ideas (this is a major limitation of AGOL right now). Cool that the idea is now Under Consideration!

Hi Suraj, It sounds like you might be having a similar problem to one we found in the Search and also the Near Me widget Search. Though we are just using the out-of-the-box Web AppBuilder hosted on ArcGIS Online. I haven't submitted a case with Support yet but will in the future. In our situation using your example, we found a "bug" (or perhaps a misunderstanding of the configuration) where the user can type the first part of the string and then click the suggestion candidate on the Search result list. In this case the search works properly (user types "1930476016:" from your example and then clicks "1930476016: 4519 Cherokee Ln" from the candidate list). Map would zoom and highlight the proper area. But as soon as the user types the space or anything further in the string, sometimes the Search fails and other times the Search returns some random neighboring feature (user types "1930476016: 4519 " and then clicks "1930476016: 4519 Cherokee Ln" from the candidate list). I'd be curious to see if you encounter a similar problem in your app?

Curious to see if anyone else has experienced this issue: When I check our ArcGIS Server logs there is a repetitive WARNING message that happens roughly every minute for one of our map services, 24/7, even when there are no users: MaxRecordCount limit reached; ignoring any remaining objects in the query result for Layer It is a feature service coming from an Enterprise geodatabase (SQL Server) registered with ArcGIS Server (no Portal). The map service has a "Maximum number of records" setting of 1,000 and the layer only has 71 features as of now. I haven't heard of any problems from the end users other than the WARNING message in the ArcGIS Server logs.

Two thumbs WAY up for this request!! I would like to add my example to this idea, though it's not much different than what has been described above: We have a lot of users that use only 1 or 2 apps, and our experience is that these "lite" users get confused when you introduce them to the concept of the ArcGIS Online content navigation (Home, Gallery, Groups, etc). It doesn't matter how many times you tell them to go to Groups. It also doesn't matter if you directly bookmark the Group page where you can add and remove apps with no problem. We get around this by bookmarking apps directly. Sometimes the users even bookmark the apps themselves. Over time the apps need to be updated or changed, and it would be ideal to build the new app in tandem with the old one and then set up a redirect when the new app is ready. Right now we basically have to "change it live" and modify the existing app and hope the changes do not adversely affect users. This does not allow us enough time to test all the changes before users start seeing them. The final issue: we get pushback from IT about having to "update bookmarks constantly."

Yes we are also back to using the standard Edit widget as well, which our users definitely find annoying. I was hoping Esri would fix this with the March update but it still appears to be broken (though interestingly back tab shift + tab still works).

It is a bug that seems to have been caused during the December AGOL update, that is when we started noticing it: BUG-000118826: Unable to tab between fields when using the Smart Editor widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Interesting observation that the back tabbing still works, same thing happens for me. I was *really hoping* this was going to be fixed in the recent March update but it hasn't been. If you have time you should contact Esri support to be added to the BUG. In my case I just submitted the problem through the My Esri chat and they knew the bug right away.

Thanks for the info Chris. We have been contemplating this issue at the City I work at as well and were wondering about the CJIS compliance status of AGOL. Right now we do the hybrid model with the sensitive data on-site.

I tried this and it did not seem to work for me. Perhaps it is a version issue? I am using a really old AGS stack at the moment (AGS 10.3.1, Enterprise GDB in SQL Server 2008 R2). Out of curiosity what version are you running, Ned?

Thanks Robert and Corey. I have set up a test editor app and the tabbing problem still persists. I'll open a support ticket with Esri and will report back what I hear...

That is also the same error I encountered when I used a map image layer from ArcGIS Server. Error did not happen when using a hosted feature layer from AGOL.

I've had a similar experience with the editor tracking settings, anyone with this problem should definitely check that first.

Is it safe to say that this functionality does not work if the web map contains ArcGIS Enterprise "Map Image Layers" (formerly known as ArcGIS Server Dynamic Map Services)? I tried setting it up with those in the web map and I was not able to access the Global "$map" entity. As a result the Arcade Expression does not work. But when I add hosted feature layers from ArcGIS Online to the web map it does work. I also assume this would work with an ArcGIS Enterprise feature layer, but I'll have to wait to test that in the future when we have the on-site Portal set up.

We use the Smart Editor widget in our Web AppBuilder apps and when editing the attributes the "tab" function recently stopped working. I'm referring to the standard data entry functionality where you can use the "tab" key to move to the next line between attributes. This was working at some point in the past but is now broken. When you tab it highlights the template box instead of the next line. Our users think it stopped working around the last AGOL update on Dec. 5th. We are using the hosted WAB on AGOL, not the Enterprise or Developer version. The "tab" functionality still works in the standard Editor widget, but we like the added functionality in the Smart Editor and hope it will be fixed.
