These blogs outlines the steps for creating the web style and using it in Map Viewer https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/use-published-2d-symbols-in-arcgis-online https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/a-new-way-to-add-web-styles-in-map-viewer

We support uploading SVGs for point symbols when using the symbol styler on point features. We currently do not have a symbol building experience where you could add or swap out individual symbol layers for your symbol styling. If you publish the final symbol as a web style you will be able to use it in Map Viewer to style your polygons with that SVG.

This was a change from a deconfliction strategy project. We are working on exposing a static and none deconfliction mode within the labeling experience and detecting label deconfliction between duplicated/repeated layers. We are working on automatic placement for polygons so if you zoom into one quadrant of the polygon where the center is not visible the label will dynamically fit into. Other placement options are on the roadmap but this previous one mentioned is one we are hoping to get into this upcoming release as well. Stacked labels are not on our immediate roadmap but if you have samples of where you want to use these this helps us as we dive into discussions on feature priority. Thanks!

We are looking into improving this behavior for the upcoming release. As a workaround could you use a group layer with exclusive visibility and then the viewers of the map would toggle through those overlapping layers to see the layer and label that matches them.

This wont be possible in a feature layer but you could create a group layer in Map Viewer and save that group layer along with sub groups/layers into a group layer item. This post might help walk through some of the steps https://community.esri.com/t5/telecommunications-videos/tgi5-episode-118-group-layer-items/m-p/1638766#M184

Are you able to share the map and we can take a look. The labeling in a polygon is fixed to the centroid of the shape and then you could use the offset to place the label within a certain offset of the centroid. You can share the map and layers into a group and invite russell_jsapi if its not public

The use compatible symbols will downgrade those symbols which will lose the markers along the hatches and give you a symbol line when opening the layer item or web map in Map Viewer. If you have a web map showing the issue and you can share would help identify any issues.

When working with a map image layer (adding it by URL at the MapServer endpoint) will have the labels returned by the map image layer as an image from the service to map viewer. There might be something you are configuring on the map image layer that is failing to return from the service. If you add the layer by the specific layer like MapServer/1 this will handle the map image layer as a feature layer and the labels are no longer returned by the service but are handled my client app which in this case would be Map Viewer.

This is not possible with the out of the box web map configuration. In the popup you can do zoom to which would zoom to the individual features. You can also set the scale threshold when you zoom past a set scale the clustering will be disabled and individual features will be displayed. The app you are viewing is a non out of the box application using leaflet to perform that zoom and expand cluster action.

Did you consider using data pipelines to run on a schedule to update the field to change the counts? We don't support using featuresets to handle rendering between two layers because this would require that expression to run on every map interaction to run the expression.

Couple of questions on this: How are you publishing these symbols - web map, layer or web style? If you are using web map or layer are you checking on the "use compatible symbols?" If you are using just a layer are you adding it to a web map by rest endpoint url or through an item/add layer in Map Viewer. If its a web style can you share the desktop file. Are you using Map Viewer or Map Viewer Classic? Other apps are you using Web AppBuilder or other apps like Instant Apps, ExB or Dashbaords. Thanks! Russ

The item id(guid) will not change. Saving that map or layer that was authored in map viewer classic and then you make changes or just click save in map viewer will not change the item id. Clicking Save As will give you a new item id but the old one will still exist. You should not see any differences reading in a map from map viewer classic into map viewer and you can test opening the map in map viewer any time and that will not change your map until you click save or save as. If you are making changes in Map Viewer like switching to a vector symbol, using multiple label classes, multiple popup elements, group layers and other enhancements we have made to the web map will not be supported if its being read into an older application like Web AppBuilder and they will get downgraded to what the application supports. If you are using the Map Viewer Classic map in apps like Instant Apps, Experience Builder, Dashboards, StoryMaps and make changes in Map Viewer you wont see any downgrading because they all use the same SDK to read in maps and layers. Hope this helps

Just as an update to this we were able to get the deconfliction to be able to stack the classes and retain the deconfliction improvements when multiple classes between different features conflict with one another.

Click on the map tab under "search settings" and click the enable map area Then make sure to enable this navigation boundary on the right hand side of that full page configure view that opens. This will then let you control the scale along with extents.

No problem, we are working on an authoring experience to support this in Map Viewer. We are looking at later this year early next. If you have an example case where you want to use this and can share we appreciate the feedback to add to our development outlines.
