Vector polygons do not respect feature display order

In the Map Viewer when a layer is set with a feature display order, and it uses vector polygons (hatch fill in this case) the features are not displayed in order and hatch fill polygons are generally displayed over solid fill polygons. There are other drawing errors as well.

I've have two screen shots of features in similarly configured maps. This is what it looks like in Map Viewer:

And this is what it should look like with proper drawing order (Arc Pro):

Does anyone have a work around for this? Is this a bug? Can you re-produce?

Can you share the map and I can take a look? thanks!

If you cant share it publicly you can pop the map and layers into a group and invite russell_jsapi to it.

There is only one feature service. It is duplicated in the map layers with two different filters. The single source for both layers is shared with the group.

Thanks, looks like I have the layers loading now. It looks like no draw order is set in the web map for that layer when published so the default is set to however the features are returned by the service. If you go into the styles panel and toggle on "display features in value order" you will have them respect the ordering set within the types panel and will update as you reorder them.

Thanks for having a look. The issue I'm having is with the Feature display order, found under layer properties. Individual features should be drawn in chronological order, but they are not, instead, the vector layers draw on top and with errors (cut off areas, disappearing symbology, etc.)
