You can't "hide" the code. The client (browser) HAS to download the JavaScript code in order to run it. The closest you can come is to minify your JavaScript code.

The JavaScript API should be able to project geometries on the client side instead of requiring the use of a Geometry service. There is a library called Proj4js that can do this, but it should be part of the API. I have created a demo that uses Proj4js with the ArcGIS JS API.

I've never had to construct a SOAP request manually. I've only used the SOAP endpoint through the .NET proxy library. I would write a .NET app using this library to call the SOAP endpoint, then use Fiddler to capture the request when the program is running.

The dojo/on module has replaced the dojo.connect method as the preferred way to handle events in Dojo. I am able to get the "on" method to work with DOM events (e.g., HTML button click), but I can't get it to work with any of the ArcGIS JavaScript API classes' events. Is there a way to use the on method with the ArcGIS JavaScript API events? (If so, can you provide an example?)

Currently ArcGIS Online allows users to share code (e.g. geoprocessing samples) only by uploading a zip file. I would like to be able to instead provide a link to an external website (e.g. a GitHub repository page).

The new Bookmark widget throws an error when using Chrome. Follow the following steps to reproduce the error. Open the "Bookmark Widget - Editable" sample in Chrome. Press F12 to open the debugging window. Add a bookmark using the bookmark widget. Upon adding a bookmark, the following exception is thrown. I am updating an existing web application from version 1.5 to 2.1 of the ArcGIS JavaScript API. After pointing my page to the version 2.1 API URL I noticed that the Map.spatialReference property is set to an esri.SpatialReference object with null values for both the wkid and wkt properties. As a result, when the Map.onClick event is fired, the mapPoint property does not have a valid spatial reference and attempting to use the mapPoint with the Identify task will fail. When using version 1.5, the Map.spatialReference property returned the same spatial reference as the first layer added to the map.
