We found this workaround In settings search for "Landscape" and then in the Advanced Features overrite Portrail Only mode for the 123 app Then in settings go to "Apps" on the left side of the page, go to the 123 app and then change the "App aspect ratio" to full screen

For species list I use CSV as it does not change often. We have 11 actually, one for each state.

When I had this come up I kinda cheated and just used max(${StartingField}). I think you could possibly also use indexed-repeat(question, repeat, index number) now but it seems not as reliable. Be aware no matter what you do if they go back a few repeats and edit values it all falls apart on you. Not much you can do about that.

I am confused as there are no globalids until the record enters the database on a submit. Are you adding code to try and generate ids or something in the form? You should not even have globalid or parentglobalid listed in the form that is all taken care of automatically. Post up at least those parts of your form to see what you are doing. Personally I let 123 use those fields but them have a second relate with a readable key I mange myself. That way they are always connected when moving the data to export, import into a diff database, etc.

I never got it to work in Windows either. One guess was that an admin had to install it vs a user but never got to test that.

When we do this we have a crew number for each crew then number based off of that. Does not need to be unique across the entire DB really. Or since we assign plots to crews we usually make an id based off the date vs worrying about a number increment. Like PlotID_MM-DD-YYYY.
