Carissa, Open the MXD in which you have prepared your layer with your symbology. Make sure only that layer is in your MXD. 1) Click on File -> Sign In... (Here you sign into your organizational account) 2) Click on File -> Share As -> Service -> Publish a service 3) As connection choose My Hosted Services (My Account) and as service name use what you want the layer to be called. 4) Under the capabilities tab uncheck "Tiled Mapping" and check "Feature Access" 5) Fill out the Item Description tab 6) Under sharing you can check who is able to see it once published 7) Click Publish in the upper right corner and it will soon show up in your "My Content" on ArcGIS Online I hope this makes sense!

If you have your symbols as jpg's, gifs or bmp's, you could host them on one of the image sharing sites and then use them. If you have an organizational account, you can just upload your layers as feature services, which keeps your symbology.

I think you need to start your sketch first, by left-clicking and placing your first vertex, then you can use those tools.

The thread might give you some insight. I'm sure if you can upload with python, you are able to download with it.

Bach, try and go to C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Desktop10.0\ArcMap\Templates. Once you are there, make a backup copy of the Normal.mxt found there and then delete it. Now open your mxd you wanted to edit in and try and add the edit toolbar. Maybe this will work. Tim

Elizabeth, The problem is that if the 2 street segments have the same number (one is FROM and the other would be TO), there would be 2 results when looking for this address, which is not possible. Some 911 mapping software struggles with this and might delay a response, when the dispatcher has to choose first which one is the right location (even though technically both are the right location) and then it locates the address. So when a call comes in and you don't have the issue stated below, the mapping software can immediately zoom to the address since there is only one address to choose from. I hope this makes sense! Tim

It could have something to do with the security settings of your server. Also, is this a ArcGIS web server or a local server?

Yes, when you edit just turn on vertex snapping and you should have no problem.
