We are in the process of upgrading from system from Ent10.8.1, AGP2.7.4, UN3 to Ent 11.1, AGP3.2 (or greater) and UNM6. When reviewing or changing the terminals for a line, the modify terminals pane is blank. This works as expected initially when setting a terminal for the first time, but outside of that workflow the pane is null. As shown below, there are terminals set for this object, but modify terminals does not display the content. Setting a new object showing the terminal config, that then is not visible to update Any ideas on why this isnt working as expected?

We are in the process of upgrading from system from Ent10.8.1, AGP2.7.4, UN3 to Ent 11.1, AGP3.2 (or greater) and UNM6. One of our workflows, when setting associations, users will typically do a broader select to update associations, trusting the system to make the appropriate selection, based on our configured rules, then review and apply. In AGP2.7.4 this can handle where an association already exists and only apply the changes. In AGP3.2 (and proven back in AGP2.9) users receive an error if an association already exists, and the modify associations pane shows the duplicate entry (shown below) User receives an error message when pressing apply. This error remains until the user removes the duplicate record. Is this expected behaviour? Surely the tool can handle checking if the association exists or not like it does in AGP2.7.4.

Hi @RomuldKiobya Yes you can add your own rules and there are different GP tools to assist. See the links below for further information and support. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/2.9/help/data/utility-network/import-utility-network-rules.htm https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/2.9/help/data/utility-network/add-connectivity-rules.htm I would say, just be very specific and cautious in the rules you create or add. Speaking from experience, the rules need to support the modelling you require, but the model also needs to support the rules.

Hi @Danvey Have you read the release notes on agp3.0 stating this is a breaking release and older files won't work directly in this version? https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/announcements/get-ready-for-arcgis-pro-3-0/ This could be your issue.

Thanks @Scott_Harris I should have included above, we are using ArcGIS Pro 2.7.4 on enterprise 10.8.1, UNM v3. The team are trying to use the absolute, as they know the location of the pole. I will follow up further with the staff. You are correct that it does work, if you don't click in the unrequired field (ie clear the z and edit x or y). Our first issue was all 3 values were populated, and Z being last when cleared, remained red as mandatory. Our next challenge with this tool (maybe a different thread is needed), we can get the objects to move, but they are moving relative to the parent association, and the points connected to lines, do not move the line vertex with the point.

ArcGIS Pro has the "move to" tool but this requires all 3 values to be populated (XYZ). It would be beneficial if you could choose which of these are required for the move. In our utility network model, we have modelled our network in 3D - like the real world. At time users pull the pole sites for various reasons and then need to put the site back together. Enhancing this tool would allow the user to pull apart the site, do the modifications, then set only the X and Y values to pull the data back together.

I am trying to validate the errors in our migrated data and found there are duplicated records presented in Pro. Can someone please explain why Pro contains duplicated records.

Additionally you could export the rules to CSV: Export utility network rules—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation and review them in a text editor. There are some DM Tools on GITHub that will allow you to manage the rules in a matrix form but this does not work for all 5 rule types.

We are working through implementing the electric UNM. Our legacy systems have detailed information available critical to the current business model and has been as important for the project to retain as part of this implementation. This is an example of the detail recorded. What other utilities are doing for underground cross section management?

Paul how does this document relate? System requirements—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Solutions for Electric This states pro2.5 and enterprise 10.8. We are building our own data model and I just want to ensure we have considered everything related to UNM versions, Pro versions, untools versions and enterprise versions.

Thanks Paul. So Dan will build the AP in pro 2.5/untools 2.5. This means we will need to build/deploy the UN with pro2.5/untools2.5. Does this have any impact for the users? Will they also need to be lifted to Pro2.5?
