So I've got a survey with a lot of questions and depending on the answer to a number of questions changes what would be mandatory questions. i know i cant drive the required field based on logic so i was thinking if i could leave all the questions not mandatory and then have a calculation that sets a final question to 'Yes' but only if all the mandatory questions for that logic have been completed, if not it would get set to 'No' But then based on this question have it so you couldn't submit the survey until it equals 'Yes' i guess my question is can i stop the survey being submitted if the answer to the final question is 'No'? thanks Stu

in Survey123 is it possible to dynamically create a choice based on the answer of a question within a Repeat: example: if i have a question in a repeat called 'Name' and it has been populated as follows Record 1 - John Record 2 - Bob Record 3 - Anna and then if i have a question outside of the repeat which is a choice driven off the Name question it would show the options: John, Bob, Anna thanks Stu

a bit more of an update, it finally came back to life and showed my reloaded survey, but the log file was 9gb... i spent some more time refining my survey and by the time i had finished the log file was 27.3Gb after only a few hours of using connect. i don't think its my survey as i have opened another survey and that gives me the same issues Stu

since the latest version of connect (2.5.44) i have been having issues with it crashing, on existing surveys when opening them to update and also when i have updated the xlsx file and are reloading the survey. i have just updated a survey xlsx file and opened connect (after saving and closing the sheet) and when i goto the survey i get prompted to reload as its changed so i click yes and its now saying not responding, it has been running for about 30 minutes now with the same not responding but the task manager is showing its using 10~14% cpu and the memory usage is changing, also before doing it this time i turned on logging from the settings and the log file is currently at 3.6Gb and its still going up! i have tried re-installing it 3 or 4 times with not change, has anyone else had this issue? any ideas on how to fix it thanks Stu

I'm trying to update a set of users within our ArcGIS Online setup to be level 1 users and to assign a specific role. i've create a python script that can change their name (below) fsURL = "https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/community/users/[userID]/update" payload2 = {'firstName':'Test', 'f': 'json','token' : aToken} but when i update it to change their level and role it doesn't work, well I get a success response fsURL = "https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/community/users/[userID]/update" payload2 = {'level':'1','roleId': 'Rolexx', 'f': 'json','token' : aToken} {"success":true,"username":"[userID]"} Help? thanks again for the reply, so we managed to get it working, it was the scale range in the feature service that was at fault, the max had changed (not sure how) to 2500. I only noticed after I went back and checked, it looked like the server had cached the settings so once I changed them I then refreshed the service and it worked for some of the users. But it didn't work for all of the users it looked like the old settings had been cached also on the users devices, to resolve this the user had to delete and re-install collector or the other solution that worked was to save a copy of the map but with a different name. thanks again for the help

the JSON for the layer shows the min/max as below: "minScale" : 5000, "maxScale" : 0, this match's the other layers that are still visible when this one disappears

thanks for the reply Randy, i have checked and it is set to the lowest scale which In my case is buildings, I have checked some other layers any they too are set to the same scale but they stay visible but the others disappear.... very odd Stu

Help, we have just started to experience an issue with collector that wasn't their last week. we have a map to allow users to update a set of assets and their attributes and then to record a survey using a related feature class, both stored in ArcGIS online, since the weekend (as far as i can tell) when you zoom in below 50m the two feature class's disappear, but other features don't... has anyone else experienced this, i know their have been no changes to the scale ranges, could it be the ArcGIS Online database spatial indices are corrupt? thanks Stu

this would be very useful, we would like to use Ops Dashboard as a running order for an update call with our management team and having the ability to add updates to the jobs as they go along would be really helpful

Hi Adrian, thanks for the quick reply, they don't get any option to export, all they get is: 'open in map viewer' 'open in scene viewer' 'open in ArcGIS desktop'

help, i have a feature layer stored in ArcGIS Online and i can export it no problem (but them i am the administrator) but my other users can't export the data, they don't get the option even thought i have enabled "Allow others to export to different formats." what am i missing? thanks Stu
