Hello Jean-Daniel, Thanks for your report. Could you please provide more information? Is there any error message, or entry in the Log? Did you try to login using a different connection to the internet? What kind of ArcGis Online account do you have?

Thanks for reporting this. A bug report has been made. As a workaround Edit -> Undo can be used. The Windows version is not affected.

Since the beginning of 2019 https://www.arcgis.com rejects connections using TLS 1.0 for security reasons. CityEngine 2017.1 and earlier are unable to support the now required TLS 1.2 protocol. What is TLS? TLS stands for “Transport Layer Security.” It is a protocol that provides privacy and data integrity between two communicating applications. It’s the most widely deployed security protocol used today, and is used for web browsers (i.e. HTTPS) and other applications that require data to be securely exchanged over a network. TLS ensures that a connection to a remote endpoint is the intended endpoint through encryption and endpoint identity verification. The versions of TLS, to date, are TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. Action Needed: Affected users are requested to go to my.esri.com and upgrade to CityEngine 2018.x which is covered by the same License key the latest version of CityEngine Esri CityEngine Resources | ArcGIS

Hello, Thank you for the question. The default Esri basemaps as on arcgis.com are used. The imagery tile level with the nearest resolution gets re-sampled according to the selected resolution and extent. Note that this is done on the server side.

Hello Burak Aydin Can you pleas provide a screenshot of the CityEngine Web Viewer scene? Is it really the shape files that are wrong? Or does the terrain itself look strange? Thanks for your help! Thomas F

Hi Thanks for reporting this issue Could you please provide, the information that comes up when you press the Details>> button? If CityEngine doesn't start correctly, you can try the following: deleting the user preferences folder in your user account (on Windows C:\Users\<user>\.CityEngine\20XX.XR.win32.win32.x86_64) -> This will reset all user information (like Workspace settings, user accounts, ...) If you are using the "Default Workspace", rename the folder (on Windows C:\Users\<user>\Documents\CityEngine\Default Workspace) You can later switch back to the renamed workspace or import your projects from there. For more information on Workspaces and Projects refer: Projects overview—Help | ArcGIS

Hello Jafar Thank you for your question. Please make sure that each obj file you obtained from Sketchup is imported as a separate Static Model into CityEngine. Please refer the CityEngine help Static models—Help | ArcGIS , then select the Static Models with the Align shapes to terrain—Help | ArcGIS tool. Note: if the Align Shapes to Terrain is disabled make sure a regular Shape or Model is in the selection.

Hello Jafar Thank you for your question. All 3D Models are made of polygons. For the CityEngine viewport there is the render setting “Wireframe” to visualize the edges of those polygons. When deactivating “Wireframe on shaded/textured” (key 7), the edges will disappear. Your approach cannot work since when splitting out edges with comp(e), the polygons of the model stay unchanged.

Note that the Unreal exporter is only available on Windows. To use the Unreal exporter in CityEngine, at least the Unreal Engine Launcher needs to be installed as a prerequisite. To import a CityEngine scene into the Unreal Editor, it is recommended to use the "CityEngine Template Project" for Unreal which is available in your Unreal Vault if you are subscribed to Unreal Studio. This template contains master materials with shading networks that automatically connect CityEngine material attributes to Unreal materials (see Materials). For more information please refer https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-10901-cityengine-exporter-for-unreal-engine-quick-start
