Robert, Not sure about the duration. I might revamp it, I was just getting to many questions. I thought it was pretty straight forward although I know it requires a certain level of understanding. It wasn't posted for the copy/paste ninja. It was more of a sample of one way to add a level of security, more of a place to start. I'll see if I can come-up with a simpler implementation with documentation. Cheers

You can try this: private var zoomToExtent:Extent; private function doZoom(event:MouseEvent):void { if (graphicsLayer.numGraphics > 0) { var arr:Array = new Array(); for each (var g:Graphic in graphicsLayer.graphicProvider) { arr.push(g); } var ge:Extent = GraphicUtil.getGraphicsExtent(arr); if (ge) { var dist:Number=1000; var graphicsExtent:Extent = new Extent(ge.xmin-dist,ge.ymin-dist,ge.xmax+dist,ge.ymax+dist,map.spatialReference); if (graphicsExtent) { zoomToExtent = graphicsExtent; map.extent = graphicsExtent; } }else { var bdist:Number=1000; var gr:Graphic = graphicsLayer.graphicProvider[0]; var pt:MapPoint = gr.geometry as MapPoint; var ext:Extent = new Extent(pt.x -bdist,pt.y-bdist,pt.x+bdist,pt.y+bdist,map.spatialReference); zoomToExtent=ext; map.extent=ext; } checkEnvelope(); } private function checkEnvelope():void { if (zoomToExtent.contains(map.extent)) { map.zoomOut(); } } Basically creates an extent for the graphics layer and then sets the map.extent to the new extent. The check envelope is used for viewers that have cached base maps where the zooms are fixed. Let me know, it works well for me.

@derekswingley That was this issue. Makes me wonder why I placed a support call. First stop will be the forum next time. Thanks, that was preventing roll-out.

Here's a sample in use: http://maps-dev.niagararegion.ca/Navigator/lte/?site=waste I removed the return geometry and had the same results. Each identify is only for one object typically anyways.

I've been having some issues with the IdentifyTask returning results when it's executed using IE 7 or 8. The task runs flawlessly In IE9 and any other browser. I've logged a support call but wondered if anybody has run into this issue. It's almost like the task isn't even executed.

Mwape Somanje, I've never had any issues with adding XY data using csv. If you look in your csv file, do you have quotes around tour XY values? ArcGIS only uses the fields that it sees as numerical. Let me know and I hope this helps.

Last week I noticed the majority of my street view implementations were failing. This is code that has been in production for at least 6 months so I knew it wasn't my coding that was the issue. In 2009 Google announced that the street view api version 2 would be depricated with version 3 taking its place. Knowing this I re-coded my street view widget to use version 3 and it worked fine. It even works for the ArcGIS 2.4 api. You can download it here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=f069d8a3aa304e29a432b48e5f64ca74 My issue now is that it is not as nice as the previous api. It's clunky and some browsers have trouble rendering it. This is no surprise since this is no longer a flash based api as it now uses HTML5. There are a lot of angry developers out there because version 3 just doesn't compare to version 2. So knowing this, please don't hold it against my street view widget. It's out of my control, thanks Google. Enjoy the widget!

I've been noticing the same issues with our street view implementation. So far I've attributed it to the street view api version 2. I've updated my code for version 3 and it works fine now. I'll be posting my code in a couple days in the samples sections.

Has anyone that has downloaded or used my code for the Street View Widget had any issues of late? Starting this week, all my apps that use the street view code have stopped working or has intermittent problems. Wondering if it's the api or something else that's going on here.

When you can access the URL directly but not from a flash application, it is usually due to either a missing crossdomain.xml file, or it's not configured to allow your flash application access. In this case, look at http://www.geosmartniagara.ca/crossdomain.xml and you'll notice that it only allows access for applications hosted on cogeco.ca. What's the URL for your application? <allow-access-from domain="*.cogeco.ca"/> You won't be able to use my proxy service. I included a asp.net proxy service, "googleproxy", with the download.
