I experienced the same issue in our 10.9.1 environment just a few minutes ago. Restarting the VM didn't help. What fixed it in my case was restarting the IIS server. Just open IIS Manager, click your connection on the left side of the page, then click Restart on the right side of the server. Edit: To clarify, I experienced this after installing the same update giving you issues.

I appreciate the help! It makes me feel better when someone other than me can reproduce a bug/issue.

Yep, same for me. I'm going to assume it is a bug. I'll open a support case. If it's not a bug, then Esri definitely needs some better messaging instead of a green success message.

My Portal was patched exactly as yours. I'm also applying update 2 patch right now.

Thank you so much for testing that for me! I'm glad it's not just me. I'll go ahead and document a bug with Esri support.

Not yet. I was hoping it was something simple or stupid I'm doing wrong that someone else might know before I reach out to support.

Yeah, that is our workaround for now. It works, but it's not great because it's an extra step in the process that we didn't have to previously do. And, personally I don't think it should be expected behavior because the green message in the top right of the screen pops up and says that it was successfully shared (clearly, it did not successfully share because the item is not in the group).

I'm currently using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 and am having an issue that did not previously exist in our 10.6.1 environment. Using a Portal account with admin permissions, I cannot share items owned by another user to any groups. Both members (myself and the person who owns that item) are in the group I am trying to share the item to. I've verified in the group settings that anyone in the group can contribute content. This was not an issue in 10.6.1. I was able to share items, regardless of who they are owned by, to any group, as long as the item owner was also in that group. Is this expected behavior in 10.9.1? If not, is there anything I need to do differently to be able to share content not owned by myself?

I'd recommend setting default values at the database level instead of the feature service level. You're able to set default values for feature classes within ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro.

I am having a problem with Field Maps (and also Explorer) where I am unable to switch accounts. I am able to sign in like normal using an MS Azure Active Directory account. Then if I want to switch accounts, within Explorer, I will click sign out. I go to sign in again and when I click the sign in with AD button, it automatically signs me in again. Is there a way to force Field Maps to ask me for credentials every time when I sign in? I've tried clearing the storage/cache of Field Maps, and even deleted and re-installed the app. I'm assuming something else on the phone is keeping the credentials in cache or something and it's just automatically signing me in. But I'd like the ability to switch accounts. I'm using Android. Is there anywhere else on the device where I could clear out this cache?

Your screenshot is showing that it is asking for credentials to that server URL. That URL is linking back to Eagleview. I don't see how this is an Esri issue if it is asking for credentials to access that server from that URL (hosted by Eagleview). Eagleview needs to provide you with those credentials. Of course, I might be missing something, but Eagleview should be providing you with those credentials to access their services.

@KoryKramer I am also having these issues, but I did not have any of those Windows Updates installed. However, uninstalling this Windows Update fixed the issue for me: 2022-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows Server 2016 for x64 (KB5018515).

Do you have a valid SSL certificate (not the default Esri self signed certificate) configured with Portal/Server? I experienced the same issue a couple weeks ago and that's what fixed my issue.

You can take advantage of synchronized edits if you use a traditional feature service. A hosted feature service will never be synchronized with your local copy of data because you are physically copying the data to the server. Again, do not use a hosted feature service. Use a traditional feature service with a DB that is registered with the ArcGIS Server pulling from an enterprise geodatabase. If you do it that way, your edits will be synchronized. The schema error you are receiving doesn't have anything to do with the hosted feature service. You or someone else must be locking you out. You have to close all connections in order to add a field.
