Hi Stan, Thanks for the link to this discussion. It's not a fancy method but I do something similar with my geocoders. I work for an electric utility and we use the object id to find multiple types of features (poles, transformers, etc). I created single field locators that use a new field called "SearchField" that I calculate with the objected and the name of the geocoder. For example, "1234 Pole" or "1234 Transformer". Then when I combine them into a composite locator my users are able to see which geocoder is being used. Brandon

Hi Robert, Sorry for the delayed response. I find the functions you mention and I was able to modify the code but I'm missing something. My code changes only seem to affect the default World geocoder. I only noticed it by accident when I forgot to switch to my custom geocoder. Is there additional code I need to modify to have my custom geocoder use the _processInfoWindowContent and _generateInfoContent functions? If I'm understanding the process the reason it is undefined is that the attribute "SearchField" doesn't exist in the default World geocoder. content += attr.SearchField + " HAHA";

Hi Robert, I'm having some trouble getting my placeholder text to fit. It seems to be set to the same size as the initial geocoder size. I tried using inspect element but I'm not understanding enough of what I'm seeing to make the correct change. Any thoughts? Thanks, Brandon

Thanks Tim, There does seem to be some good stuff there, but I'm not sure where to made the additional code changes necessary to see the additional fields. Can you help me with that part since it sounds like I'm calling the outFields portion right. Brandon

Hi Paul, Do you have an example of how I would do this in the locator pop-up? I'm new to all of this and I'm not sure how to get started. Thanks, Brandon

While reading through geocoder documentation I found reference to an outFields parameter. Assuming I understand what this does I'd like to add the functionality into some custom geocoders I use in web app builder applications. I tried adding it into my geocoding config_Geocoder.json file but nothing seems to happen. The geocoder still functions properly but no additional fields are shown. Can someone help me figure out what is wrong with the code? {

Hi Rickey, Again, thanks for the heads up on this discussion. Where do I make this change? And were you able to solve the header sizing issue compared to the rest of the popup? Thanks, Brandon

Thanks Robert, I'm very new to CSS but after reading your reply, and https://css-tricks.com/when-using-important-is-the-right-choice/ , I can see why the "!important" might cause some consternation. I'm interested not only in accomplishing the goal but also learning how to do something better. Is there a method that would allow me to change the size that doesn't make you cringe? I can also add this discussion into the other places if that is more appropriate. Thanks, Brandon

On another note: Could this same concept be applied to pop-up containers? There are some questions out on geonet, some of them mine, on editing the default pop-up window size. Thanks, Brandon

That's perfect. Thank you! I tried looking for some reference docs on properties of the geocoder and didn't find anything that seemed right. Do you know of any or is this something you've just picked up over time? Thanks again, Brandon

I'm trying to modify the size of the geocoder in a web app builder application. I'm able to modify the size of the drop down portion by editing the second line of the style.css. This makes the "Search in" portion bigger. .jimu-widget-geocoder{
width: 500px !important; I'd like to modify the size of the geocoder upper portion so that our addresses and customer names fit. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Stan, I found the common.css file in my application but it only has one line @import url("panels/TabPanel/style.css"); Are you suggesting I just add in the code you posted in order to make a change? I think I've also decided it won't be enough to increase the leader length because it will almost certainly still cover up something the user wants to see. Is there a way to make it movable by the user? Perhaps by changing the position: absolute value you show? Thanks, Brandon
