Hi Robert, In the next release of ArcGIS Pro (2.4) coming soon, you will have the ability to do this with the following Editing tools: Slice Multipatch (new) will split a multipatch feature at a specified location using a horizontal or a vertical cutting plane. In your case, you would set the cutting plane between the individual parts that you want to slice apart. Explode can now separate a multipatch feature into its individual 3D faces, which can then be merged back together if needed. Thank you, Scott

try setting the Feature Weight on the polygon to 1000. From the doc "The feature weights are ranked on a scale of 1-1000. A feature weight of 0 indicates that the feature should be treated as available space, while a weight of 1000 indicates that the feature is considered an obstacle and should not be overlapped by labels." Ok now I can see this video - thanks for posting it. I'm not seeing anything that stands out that would cause it. Are the lines part of a geometric network? have you tried adding the data to blank MXD? I'm assuming you already tried holding spacebar while editing to suspend snapping? Please also consider reaching out to Esri Technical Support ( Esri Support Contact Support ). They may be able to quickly solve this with you over a screenshare.

Hi John, Are you able to provide a screenshot? Is this for all line feature classes in any project - or a specific line feature class in a specific project? What version of ArcGIS Pro? Any other details that you can think of that may help us narrow it down? Thank you, Scott

Hmm.. I'm still not reproducing in 10.4.1 after first creating a 20 ft line and then using the end point arc tool to create another line snapped on each end like you show here. Have you tried to suspend snapping by holding the space bar while creating the line segments?

Hi Bill, So far, I'm not able to reproduce. Some questions: Are you able to provide a screenshot? Which curve tool are you using (Endpoint arc segment, arc segment, tangent curve segment)? Where is the data sourced from (Shapefile, File Geodatabase, SQL Server, etc)? What are your snapping settings? What coordinate system are you using? Is it using default values for XY tolerance and resolution? At what map scale are you editing at? Thanks, Scott

My suggestion would be to work with your IT department to find out if firewall or antivirus could be the culprit.

Yeah, you always want to make sure the feature classes you create have a coordinate system. Going forward, you may want to use the Create Feature Class Wizard, which pretty much forces you to choose a coordinate system. See: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/data/feature-classes/create-a-feature-class.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_24AA44E4C5F4490EB0EAFE3ED7547149

Hi Amy, That is definitely odd that left-click didn't work, but right-click did. Should the issue occur again where a left click on the feature template does not display the construction tools, please let me know. What I would really like to find out is the exact steps that were carried out in Pro just before the issue cropped up. Thank you, Scott

Hmm.. that's definitely odd behavior. I'm not seeing any other reports of this issue, so hopefully I'll be able to reproduce. It looks like all of the construction tools are missing. What happens if you right click on the feature template. Can you get to the Properties? If so, from the template properties, click Tools. Are all of the tools checked on (visible) as in this screenshot?

Hi Amy, So far, I'm not able to reproduce, but perhaps I'm missing something. Here is what should happen when you click on a polygon feature template (assuming you haven't customized the feature template): Are you able to post a screenshot of when the issue is occurring? Thanks, Scott

Hi Amelia, The autocomplete construction tool should show up when you click on a polygon feature template in the Create Features pane: Help is available on it here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/editing/create-adjoining-polygons.htm The screenshot you provided shows the Construction Toolbar, which has the type of segments that you can create with the currently selected construction tool https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/editing/a-quick-tour-of-editing.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_6C878BA5006A4776BA082AA3FA98D11B So the only place Autocomplete polygon will show up is in the Create Features pane. Does this help to clarify? Thank you, Scott
