Hi Pete, Try ensuring Snapping is on, and the Intersection snapping agent is on as well: If Intersection snapping is used, In 2.4.x, you may notice that you need to digitize a splitting line (instead of just clicking once) if the line you intend to split is below another layer in the Contents pane. In 2.5, coming soon, no matter the layer order, you can split with one click at the point of intersection. In 2.5, you may also want to check out the Line Intersection tool, which will split lines where they intersect, and extend lines to a point of intersection. Thanks, Scott

Hi Dave, I tried it on my end, but can't reproduce a sorting issue with domain dropdown when editing. The sorting always matches the domain order for me. What version of Pro are you using? What is the Field Type of the domain (Short, Long, Float, Double, Text)? Does the issue persist if you remove the layer from the map and re-add it? What if you add the feature class to a new map in a new project? What was the order of operations? Example: create the domain > apply it a field > make edits > modify the order > attempt more edits Where is the data stored (examples: File Geodatabase, SQL Server database, etc.) Thanks for any additional details, Scott

Hi Jeff, Thanks for closing the loop. Please let me know if you end up submitting a bug with Tech Support. I'd be curious to know how to reproduce it. Thanks, Scott

Hi Pete, Here are some thoughts/observations... With Allow splitting without a selection unchecked, the Split tool will only split the feature that is selected. The feature that will be split will show up in the Split tool's selection tree. The layer's display field property is used to control what attributes show up in the tree (based on a field or expression). So in this screenshot, Line B should be the only line that is split: Just an FYI - here is where you control the layer's display field or expression: In the above case, the Name attribute is my display field and my lines have name attributes of Line A and Line B. Regarding the wrong feature being split: The bottom line is if you have Allow splitting without a selection unchecked, and you select 1 feature and it shows up in the selection tree. Only that 1 feature should be split. If this is not the case, we need to investigate it. However, since you said... "Example of 2 polylines and I want to split only A and not B, however when hovering over the intersection, it shows Line B will be split and not A." ...this leads me to believe you are relying on the Snap Tip to tell you what is going to split. The snap tip shows you what layer and snap agent you are snapping to. This would allow you to snap to another layer while digitizing the cutting line. More on snapping in Pro: Configure snapping—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Regarding splitting at an intersection: In 2.5 (coming soon), it will be much easier to split a line at the intersection of another line. We made an improvement for this scenario. You will be able to select the line you want to split, and as long as the intersection snapping agent is enabled, be able to click once: Thanks, Scott

Hi Jeff, I can't reproduce it, but try clearing the display cache to see if that makes a difference: Options > Display > check "Clear cache" > close and reopen the project. Thanks, Scott

Hi Brett, In ArcGIS Pro version 2.5 (coming soon), when you edit attributes in the attributes pane or attribute table, the active geometry you are editing is automatically finished. Thanks, Scott

Hi Jonathan, From your screenshot, it doesn't look like you have a feature template to work with. Do you have an editable feature class in your map (lines or polygons)? When you do, try choosing the one of their templates in the drop-down in the Buffer tool. -Scott

Hi Andres, In 2.5, the upcoming release of ArcGIS Pro, you shouldn't be required to open the Create Features pane first when pasting from a non-editable source; however, should you see the issue after 2.5 is released, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks, Scott

Hi Benny, Here is an editing-centric method for creating a point feature at a specific XYZ location: 1. Add a point feature class to the map if you don't have one already. You can use Map Notes if you want : 2. From the Edit tab > click Create: 3. From the Create Features pane, choose the point template: 4. Right click on the map and choose Absolute X,Y,Z (or use the F6 keyboard shortcut): 5. Choose the desired location units, type in your values and hit ENTER: 6. The point will be created at that location and will be selected. You can zoom to the location if needed by using this button on the bottom right corner of the map: Relevant link for this: Specify an x,y,z location—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Thanks, Scott

Hi Rob, That's not normal behavior, but sounds similar to what is described in this other thread: Getting edits to show up immediately ArcGIS Pro If clearing the display cache works, good, but you may want to reach out to Esri Technical Support if the issue comes back. Thanks, Scott

Hi John, It's not possible out of the box, but this is an interesting idea. You might want to post your specific use case over in Ideas: https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas Thanks, Scott

Hi Matthew, There is some discussion over here on this topic: Disappearing vertex causes closed polyline completion to fail? As Jennifer said in that thread, we will be reviewing how to improve this while still retaining this functionality. For now, you can try some of suggestions on the other thread. Thanks! Scott

Hi Melissa, I'm glad you got it to work. Did you have this checked when it was giving the error? I can be useful to explore what that option does, since the tool will expect different inputs depending on if if is checked. To me, it doesn't sound like this was the issue, but it could be good to know. I'm just curious, does your polygon layer use the default XY Resolution and XY Tolerance values for that coordinate system? Here is what the defaults look like for NAD 1983 StatePlane Missouri East FIPS 2401 (US Feet): Thanks! Scott

Hi Melissa, That's very odd indeed. I'm trying to reproduce on my end, but I can't. So I have some questions: If you add the layer, and only that layer, to a new map, does it still reproduce? What coordinate system is the data? What coordinate system is the map? Are you the only one editing the data? What version of Pro are you using? Thanks, Scott
