At the bottom of the tutorial is a "send us feedback" form. I'd add this info there as a backlog issue will get created and assigned to the author so they can take a look at your feedback and update the tutorial to clarify any issues. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Without seeing the data I can only guess the original feature layer did not have the popups configured or there were no fields in the original data. If you need to configure the popups and add more fields you can do so with details in this help topic https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/3.1/help/mapping/navigation/configure-pop-ups.htm If you still don't see fields listed then I would go back to the source feature layer to check what is available. thanks, Andrew

@Lerman you could try fixing it by removing the special characters in the path. For the other dataset it is not rendering because it is invalid according to the 3D tiles specification. The root tileset is missing the refine property. This is required per the spec "A refinement type is required for the root tile of a tileset;" https://github.com/CesiumGS/3d-tiles/tree/main/specification We are looking into some defensive fixes to handle this dataset so if that is something we can do then it will be for the ArcGIS Pro 3.3 release as well. Also, when working with 3rd party datasets its good to validate these datasets using the Cesium created validator https://github.com/CesiumGS/3d-tiles-validator I have not personally worked with this so cannot speak to its accuracy but I know we have our own I3S Validation tool to ensure 3rd party vendors are creating I3S scene layers according to the spec we have written. thanks, Andrew

@Lerman KTX2 textures are planned to be supported in the future. Likely not in the next release but in the following release later this year. I can update the doc to make it clear that it's not supported for next release. Thanks for sharing the data. This specific error is a bug with decoding the URL. We are working on a fix now so plan to see this resolved in the ArcGIS Pro 3.3 release which is tentatively planned for release in early May. thanks, Andrew

@Lerman We do not have plans to support WebP or CRN. We do support KTX2 and will continue supporting that over the other textures. Can you confirm the tileset.json is in that location? Based on the message either it's not there or there's an issue reading it. If you are able to share the folder of 3d tiles data I can also take a look on my end. thanks, Andrew

Hi, The help link I provided in the original reply lists the supported renderers. This can all be changed on the symbology pane https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/symbolize-feature-layers.htm#GUID-2EF8EC60-C399-46C9-86E2-18A137B69439 thanks, Andrew

@Lerman The 3D tiles specification has an extensive list of extensions so we decided to list the more major/commonly used extensions in the documentation. All other messaging for a specific dataset can be found in the diagnostic monitor. Currently, WebP and CRN texture formats are not supported. thanks, Andrew

Hi, In the screenshot I see the analyzer 20027 showing. When you see any analyzer like this you can click on it to open the help which you can find here as well https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/analyzer-warning-messages/20027-layer-uses-advanced-renderer-settings.htm It looks like this is expected based on the help. I would switch the renderer to a supported one to ensure it is carried over to the web scene. thanks, Andrew

Ok looks like just a warning so that should not impact the output of the tool. You could try sketching one polygon footprint on the mesh and running the tool to see if it's an issue with the footprint polygon. Otherwise if you want to share the slpk I can take a look too. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Can you run the slpk through the validate scene layer tool and report back if it returns any errors? If the slpk comes from a 3rd party that doesn't adhere to the i3s specification then there could be unexpected results when running data management tools. thanks, Andrew

Hi Matt, From the screenshots I noticed there are many ground sources. I wonder if some of those points are hitting different sources OR a different pyramid so it appears to jump. To test that theory I have a couple ideas...first you can turn off all sources so then the points render at 0 elevation and see if you can reproduce the behavior. Another option is to add the esri hosted Topobathy3D service and see if you can reproduce the behavior only with this source turned on in your scene. You can add that service to your scene (if your active portal is ArcGIS Online) via Add Data > Add Elevation Source Layer > Click On Living Atlas > In search box search for topobathy 3D > click layer then click Ok Regarding the labels displaying through the terrain that is currently an as designed behavior. Due to performance reasons and consistency with web scene the labels will always render even if blocked by another 3d feature. There is a design that is being worked on by the Text team so there will be enhancements in this area not in the next release but hopefully soon after. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Based on your description it sounds like the points are Z enabled so if your elevation mode is set to absolute height then the points will render at whatever Z value is specified in the geometry. If you want them all to render on the ground you can change the elevation mode to on the ground. Right click layer in Contents pane > Properties > Click on Elevation Tab > Click dropdown and set to On the Ground https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/define-height-characteristics-for-layers.htm thanks, Andrew

Hi Eric, It looks we do not support rendering this 3D tiles dataset because instead of the texture being stored with the dataset it is a reference to an external jpeg file. We are working on supporting this in the next release of ArcGIS Pro 3.3 in late spring/early summer so expect this to work then. thanks, Andrew

Hi, The first release of 3D Tiles in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 only supports reading and visualizing workflows. We are looking into supporting modification of 3D tiles in the next release or two. Data management workflows such as Clip likely wouldn't come until later. The workflow you mentioned of converting 3D tiles to slpk is the best approach at this point in time. If you want to track this down the road then I would recommend creating an ArcGIS Idea and then I can update the status of the idea as we have more information. thanks, Andrew
