As we use GeoEvent Extension in our office, people are starting to expand their thinking about what they "need" to be keeping track of. Someone just stopped by and asked if I could display live train and air traffic. I have seen some demos of air traffic through GeoEvent Extension, but have never asked where the information is coming from. Does anyone get live feeds for train or air traffic? If so, what organization do you obtain the feed from? Please include any links or contact information that you have. Thanks! --Adam

Carol Ghostine, This behavior was like the one I was showing Tif Pun at the UC. I forget what exactly Tif ended up targeting, but it was a development setting that was default in the IE install. Maybe Tif has an idea? --Adam

It all depends on how you set things up and what kind of service that you are using. If you are using your own install of ArcGIS for Server and a Map Service, you can see labels within Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS. If you are using a Feature Service, it does not support Labeling directly. BUT recently, ArcGIS Online added labeling to the Web Map for either the Map Service or Feature Service - which can be seen in Operations Dashboard! Please see this document for instructions: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/create-labels.htm The labeling options are limited, but it is better than nothing! I hope this helps! --Adam EDIT: So, just now, I FULLY read your post. I remember having this problem. When I was working with it, I found that you could not use the "/0" service (ID: 0). You have to use the service ending in "/FeatureServer". Now I just tried to duplicate all of this and nothing is working! Sorry - Back to the drawing board.

Brian, I have never had any luck with multiple layered feature services and GeoEvent Extension. I know that isn't a specific answer; just my experience. If you are simulating only 2 every one second and it isn't working, I am pretty sure that is your problem. I don't think you HAVE to separate the different groups of events if you don't want to. It probably really depends on how you want to utilize the services on the visualization end. --Adam

Morakot Pilouk, If end-user visualization is Brian Locke's main concern, could streaming via the new WebSocket survive this number of events/second? I know that there is no Esri COTS end-user app currently configured to accept this feed, but one would hope that the Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS and the new Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS would soon get on the bandwagon!!! --Adam

Hello All, Operations Dashboard is currently our end-user viewing application for AVL and some other real-time feeds. Currently, when setting up a Web Map in AGOL, you cannot add SECONDS in the date/time format for popups. We poll our vehicles at either 10 or 20 second intervals and cannot see change in time for a minute. Would you all please consider voting for my idea at ideas.arcgis.com to correct this issue? http://shar.es/NPOOM Thank you! --Adam Message was edited by: Adam Repsher Corrected link.

The webmap contains the same data (mostly Feature Services) that are in the previous one. I will attempt to use Fiddler and debugger after I am finished touching up my UC presentation this afternoon. I am assuming that you are port of the Operations Dashboard team? Carol Ghostine has helped me with previous issues. I would enjoy meeting her if she will be there. But yes, we can schedule a time to meet. I will have my laptop and the ability to VPN back into our system. Thank you for offering your time! Thank you,--Adam

Sorry Tif, All of the content is within our intranet, so even if I did share it, you would not be able to access any services. I am aware of the https / http connection issue and have made sure that is not the issue. If I weren't so busy getting ready for the UC, I could do a screen share! --Adam

Has anyone else had ALL of the browser versions of their Operations Dashboards stop working over the last week? All I am getting is a basemap - no layer content, no widget content.... OD version 10.2.3.536 The dashboards were created under a previous version, I believe. On a hunch, I had my analyst create a quick and dirty new Web Map in ArcGIS Online and a quick OD.... It works. This is completely frustrating. There are so many moving parts and no way to recover after a single update that I have no control over! How can I use this for a production application if I have no ability to test before new versions of things are pushed out? It has been the norm to have to completely re-create all Web Maps in ArcGIS Online then in Operations Dashboard.... --Adam
