Thank you Robert. Do you mean using publishData to get access to the wabWidget from the AddFromUrlPanels.js?

I am trying to use the replicate the functionality of wabWidget as it is used in the AddData widget in the AddFromUrlPanel.js under the addClicked function. In that widget, the use of: wabWidget= null;
var map = this.wabWidget.map; the map variable produces all the info for the map. console.log(map): ...... ...... However if I attempt to use the above scripting for for a custom function to get the variable map, I get the error: What am I missing to get the same output for the map? Thank you.

Hi Mark. I thought to insert my input. No, Google didn't change their TOS. However, if you use street view on Google Map, I believe you are not in a violation of TOS. So, to avoid violating the TOS, I created a widget where when user select to use the street view, the widget will first change the current basemap to Google Street Map before you start using the tool. When the user select another basemap other than Google, then the StreetView tool becomes inactive.

This is so confusing. I see the new Google Earth Widget (https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-11028-google-earth-widget ) and I think it violates the TOS since it uses an ESRI basemap to use GE. Correct? The developer refers to the number of map loads but he does not address the use of GE on an ESRI basemap. Care to comment? Thanks.

I installed the widget but it freezes at https://earth.google.com/web/... at the " Google Earth. Loading in progress" screen. When I checked online forums it was suggested to: For the web version please ensure you have a 64 bit version of Chrome. Then check the following: WebGL has to be enabled in chrome://flags/#enable-es3-apis "Use hardware acceleration when available" has to be checked in chrome://settings/search#hard In chrome://flags select the first option "Override Software Rendering list" Then restart Chrome. UPDATE: I followed these steps and it works! Has anyone experienced the freeze and follow the above steps to resolve the issue?

Is there a way to wrap the long field names into a second row? The above screenshot is caused by long field names, not shown.

Hi Robert. Are there any plans to allow the user to slide the right border of the pop up panel to make larger if needed. I run into the situation that attributes are cut off. Thanks.

Hi Robert. Do you keep the previous versions of your widgets? I have some app where I am not ready to convert them to the 2.5 version. Thanks.

A while ago, I posted a modified version of this widget. Since then, I made some corrections to fix some bugs and implemented some enhancements. With this version you can save in the session a local file (shapefile), in addition to any web service based layers, and the basemap that you are using. The session file is saved locally in your computer. This version was developed in version 2.4 and it was tested in Chrome and IE. Just add this widget in the widget folder in your app and add the entry in the config.json. savesession1017zip

In my case working in an intranet environment, that's not an issue. You can just turn the ssl off temporarily, add the packages, and then turn it on back on.

The jupyter notebook is the best IDE that it's available for developing/troubleshooting python scripts. Also you can easily modify existing geoprocessing tools in notebook to create REST services to be used in custom web apps. I don't even use Portal/ArcGIS Online.
