Hello Ismael, i am am going to use the second option here. Just to verify the submission URL, I can have many feature layers in this as long as the inspection feature is first in the layer list as I cannot specify the position in the feature service when using the submission URL. For example "feature service/0" cheers Gordon

Hello All, I need to understand how it might be possible for my Survey123 feature class to be a related table to a polygon feature in the map. In essence I have a farm field feature class and I want to perform an inspection against this. Conventionally, I would create a feature class to represent the farm in ArcMap and then create a related feature class in ArcGIS that is the inspection feature class. Now I could use this in collector. However, I want to take advantage of the field manipulation capability of Survey123. The inspector already knows the farm ID so he just needs to perform the inspection with survey123. So the question is how do I publish the survey123 feature class and then relate it to the farm polygon feature class in ArcGIS Online? Cheers Gordon

Christophe, The following help page Prepare data for offline use states that if you do not want versioned data in your Enterprise Gedatabase then you do need to prepare nonversioned data as follows to participate in sync functionality: Enable archiving on the datasets. Include Global IDs on the datasets. Relationship classes and attachments must use a Global ID primary key. This page is very useful as it describes both the version and non-versioned workflows and the role of the Global IDs regards Gordon

The reason it wants to copy the imagery to the ArcGIS server machine is that the folder the imagery is stored in is not known to the ArcGIS server. In order to prevent this you need to register the folder with ArcGIS server And ensure that ArcGIS server has permissions to access the folder. You will no longer then have to move the imagery. Another consideration though is network speed. If the imagery is stored on a machine across the network it can impact in the image display speeds. I generally recommend hosting the imagery on a local drive to the server or a SAN which the ArcGIS server has high speed access to. cheers Gordon

Gabriel is correct on this. in order to use the mensuration capabilities you need the metadata associated with the imagery. Raster Products is essentially all the metadata required, look angle, sun angle, time of day and date to reform image mensuraytion. Unfortunately ECW is a processed, derived image format. All you have here is the raster. Very good for visualisation but not analysis. cheers Gordon

Heather, your our understanding of PC analysis is on the mark. The resultant bands the directions in the data where there exists the most variance, where the data is most spread out. The question of what the actual values mean though is something a little more complex. Rather than try and explain it in a few brief sentences here the is a good reference which lays out the analysis and what the values mean found here i hope this helps Gordon

Forest, what hat compression is being applied to the output image? Is it the same as the source. Under the Environments there is a raster storage setting called compression which specifies the compression used on the image. See the help topic Depending in in the source compression and the resultant image you could see these size changes. cheers Gordon

All, Here in Australia, ECW is a very common format. So we encounter the publishing to ArcGIS Server issue on a regular basis. As a consequence we have a how-to written up that you may find useful. It covers off the three wavelet compression technologies and how best to manage ECW. I think you might find it useful Publishing ECW Imagery with ArcGIS for Server | Esri Australia Technical Blog Cheers Gordon

Simo, The variance you refer to between map projection of the basemap and the GPS on the device you are using going to be relatively minor. if location is important then you should be more concerned with the accuracy of the GPS receiver. Accuracy of location is dependant not just on the device but also the surroundings, such as collecting under a tree or near a building. the surroundings influence on accuracy can very from +/- 3m to anywhere over +/- 10m. The you have the number of available satellites. Finally if you do require higher accuracy they you should ensure that GPS signal is being corrected. In the case of collector this is usually via Licia Zeno or Trimble R1. Just some thoughts. Gordon

Hello Mary, Collector for Windows is designed for Windows 10. it allows the code to be written once and then run across multiple devices. It should be available in Q4. Esri has been actively testing against the BETA of Windows 10 and now it has been released are finalising the software. In addition Collector will be delivered as a Windows 10 App availble from the windows store when it is released. cheers Gordon

Hello Patrick, this his is a question we see quite a lot at Esri Australia. At this stage capturinc the EXIF data is not supported by Collector for ArGIS. There is an ideas request for this that I recommend you add your voice to. ArcGIS Idea - Collector - Geotag attached photos However at Esri UC, the collector team did mention that this is an improvement they are considering but not until sometime mid 2016 at earliest. The Sneak Peak section of the Collector for ArcGIS page give you the best idea of the short term developments coming.Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Cheers Gordon

Peter, At Esri UC the photo size limiting on iOS was a common topic. Esri have said that this will be released in early Q4 this year. Cheers GOrdom

Currently in ArcGIS Online when working from my laptop I can upload files to ArcGIS Online such as shape files, gpx and csv. However when working from my tablet, these option do not appear as ArcGIS Online cannot acces these file on my tablet. It there for be useful if I could store these files in a cloud location such as box or one drive and ArcGIS Online acces these locations to upload the files. I no longer then have to creat maps from my laptop.

Hello Peter, In our presentation at OZRI we were using an Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL Server) local on our computers and an Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL Server) on an Amazon cloud server. From the Enterprise Geodatabase on the Amazon cloud server we created Map/Feature services in ArcGIS Server. These were then consumed via ArcGIS Online to create a webmap which Collector for ArcGIS consumed. The data was synced between the Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL Server) local on our computers with the Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL Server) on an Amazon cloud server via Geodata services running on the Amazon cloud service using the Distributed Geodatabase tool set in ArcGIS Desktop. Currently you cannot do this syncing direct from ArcGIS Online to your internal systems you need the data to be hosted in a web service that is accessible to ArcGIS Online. Regards Gordon
