You do not have a geometry/geography field so it will not be visible as a layer. You should bring it into Arcmap using MakeQueryTable and then use Make X Y Event layer to translate it to point layer Have fun Mody

Hi I would be very interest in this information. I think the important parameter is the area and the smallest scale. We created cache down to 1:1000 for about 20000 square kilometer. I think it took less than a week using 6 processes. The interest point is when you start the process each of these 6 processes is using a full core (12% in case of 8 core machine) but after a few hours is slowly going down to 2-3% per process. We use the image extension.

It looks line you did not installed the 64bit background processor. This is ususlly quicker because it is 64bit. You RuntimeLocalServer should be 64bit. Most commands will use unly one core. If you have 4 cores then 21% is almost full core. If the result disk is on network it might slow things down.

There are two things I do. First if you see ups and downs in the cpu and change in memory in the task manager the tool is working. If it is stuck it will have the same cpu percent and memory. The other way is to check the output. If you create a new data you can chack the size in windws explorer (of the fgdb directory). It usually write data in blocks so the size is not changing all the time but it still have to draw every few minutes. Have fun (and patience)

Hi If your data is part of something like topology or network it cannot be update without edit session. You can start edit in ArcMap and then try to run the script. In general you should try to move from mdb to gdb. Have fun

When the first layer you load into the map is tiles map the zoom levels will be defined by that tile map. This can be over write by the LODS (on the map) that let you zoom to different scale but the tiles map does not show. In my case I have a cache define and build for 100000 only. In my map lods I defined 100000 and 50000 and 25000 I can zoom into these scales but the cache does not show. How do I make the tile layer resample into these levels? I tried "resampling: true" but it does not work. Any ideas?

Hi It is just a guess. The path to local MyDocuments is by default and does not show in the manager. If it was installed localy (with the old version) it might use the local path first and does not load the new AddIn if it has the same ID. Check the content of the local MyDocument.

Hi You can only merge feature classes (within a FGDB). There are many GP tools like Append or Merge. There are other tools in ArcMap (like Load Data). It depend on the data you have but the GP tools are generally the nest. Have fun

Hi The easiest way is to create two small bat files, one for Adv license and one for Basic license. Each file have a SET command (by KB 24633) and a call to ArcMap.exe The user have both bat files on desktop. If s/he press the adv and fail s/he can press the other shorcut.

In the doc's for WMS service (WMS services—Documentation | ArcGIS for Server ) it say: The map service cache is only used when requesting the original projection, layer order, and layer visibility of the service. We publish a map service with cache without having the original MXD used to create the cache. How does the layer order and visibility is checked when an external request is coming? How can we "make" the WMS service think that it only have one layer so it will return the image every time layer 1 is requested? Is it written somehow to the capability files (Using external capabilities files with WMS services—Documentation | ArcGIS for Server ) Thanks

If you use ArcMap, open the layer properties and select the display tab. The default resample method for mosaic is bilinear. Change it to nearest and you will see pixels. The default is different for simple rasters - that is why you see pixels for them. Have fun

The error message is on myout1.csv. When you just run the GP on this file manually - does it works? If you remove this file from the directory does it fail on the second file? Sometime there are hidden chars in the file name. Try to do something like this: print ("[%s]" % infile) and see if the print looks fine. Have fun
