In Sql Server when I create a layer the OBJECTID is defined as primary key. When I create a table (using ArcMap) the OBJECTID is not define as primary key. See the screen shot, AAA is a layer (have a shape filed), BBB is a table. Any reason for this? Thanks Mody

Hi all I am creating .geodatabase files in ArcMap (using create runtime content GP tool) and use them in Runtime. I am not clear about what symbology can be transfered from arcmap. What rendereres (Single symbol and unique value only?). What type of symbols (only simple and image for points?) Can I use multi layer symbols? Can I use True Type symbols if I work in windows? Thanks Mody

Hi First you should think about the final GP that you need. Currently the tool takes one layer and create a second one, both with hard coded names. Such a service should work only once... Do you want the user to select a feature class for input? Are you sure all outputs should be written into the database (what happens if to users give the same output name)? Usually the output of a GP tool is temporary and send only to the user that run the tool. In general the server does not have "Database Connection" this is something that exists in your profile only. You should put a sde connection file in a directory that is registered in the server (C:\temp\GS.sde) Then it will be recognize in the publish process and will not be replaced by scratch gdb. Hi If you need to write a code for ArcMap you should open a post in the ArcObjects community. In ArcObjects code you can call any GP tool easily, this is the best way in most cases. here: arcobjects-sdk-community-samples/Net/Geoprocessing/GPGeodatabaseConversion at master · Esri/arcobjects-sdk-community-sam… you can find an example of using GP tools for conversion of data. I think it is almost what you need. Have Fun Mody

The first element in the lock is the machine name. Is HPZBOOKG3 the machine you are working on? If not you should look for process 6620 on HPZBOOKG3 machine.

When you use Portal with local ArcGIS server you can federated them together. Then the users of the portal is used in the server and you can take any map service and secure it for one group of users of portal. We use ArcGIS Server with on-line to publish live data. We would like to protect our services in the local server to some users in on-line. If we set the map service as protected when you access it in a Web Map you asked to enter a user/password of the local server. We would like our local server to recognize the on-line users without entering another user and password. We could create a map image layer in on-line that save the local user and limit this map image to some users. We would like to get the real named user in our map service (for editor tracking and other options). Can this be done?
