Hi Joost, One option to consider might be exporting the scene file to a webscene (3ws). And upload this to ArcGIS Online, or you download the free viewer to host on a webserver (can put on a local IIS server if you work on a windows environment). The viewer and instructions can be downloaded here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=38fede3935a440e49cf316dcae6aae47 Publishing to a 3D webscene from an SXD is done with the 'export to 3D web scene' tool: ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) Good luck with it!

Make sure the route is M enabled. Then display route events either as point events, to find the particular place at the polyline. Or display as Line event, with start and end point measure to highlight the selected path.

Well, got it working by clipping the line with a multipatch feature on certain intervals. This gives me several small lines which I can color based on value. It is a work around, so if anyone knows how to color a 3d line based on depth value, let me know!

Does anyone now a solution to change color on a 3d polyline based on the Z value. The picture below is to clarify my answer, if the line is les than 0.5 meter below a surface it should color red, if it is between 0.5 and 0.55 yellow, etc. and not with the bars as it is now. So I want to color the line itself in segments based on a z value, to be able to indicate risk zones if the depth of burial becomes to small.

Take a look at: ArcGIS Help - Project (Data Management) for the re-projection of features in ArcGIS. The output should ideally be compared to similar known features which are already in the output coordinate system to see if they line up.
