Jayanta Poddar This is for placement of labels behind other labels, not behind features. I read through that doc and subsequently toyed with the setting just to see if it would do the job, but it doesn't. Notice in the example in the doc: In the image below, the label for the Isle of Wight is set as a background label. You can see that the city and road labels treat it as empty space and appear on top of the label. What the doc doesn't explicitly say is - also notice that the Isle of Wight label still draws on top of all features

Hi Charles, Not sure how you made that second map (meaning maybe you've already done what I'm going to suggest), but the only thing I can think of would be to convert your labels to annotation and then have the anno draw underneath the features. What you describe as the reason for doing this seems odd to me. It sounds like things are getting "cluttered" and unreadable in your map... I would think that a better option would be to thin out your labels (or even features) at certain scales to keep things clean. You could build different label classes based on the category of streets you're working with: Label classes—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop This doc also talks about setting scale ranges for the classes. Another really good thing to look at would be Author a multiscale map—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Hope this helps!

No worries. I noticed that that particular shortcut isn't in the documentation and have contacted that team to see if we can improve that: Georeferencing tools—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Thank you!

It looks like when you have the Scale tool enabled from the Prepare group, hit the A key to get a rescale dialog where you can enter values:

While this may not be exactly what you're looking for, ArcGIS Pro's symbology now allows you to use a point shape marker at features' vertices. Again, this is a comment more geared towards the idea of drawing vertices, not necessarily exposing them for editing. See the Position and place marker symbol layers—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop documentation for more about marker symbol layers and their positioning. A distinct marker symbol layer could be added to display extremities, and another symbol used for all other vertices.

At ArcGIS Pro 2.0 we added the ability to open multiple instances. In the upcoming release of Pro 2.1 you'll be able to drag maps from one project and drop into another project. So to an extent, these capabilities should help with the need. However, the idea is still open as Reviewed and open for voting as there currently isn't functionality to browse contents of various projects in the Catalog View or Catalog Pane.

Hi Ian. As Dan_Patterson indicates, please do hop over to the Ideas site and submit this request. Getting the community votes on functionality, even if an equivalency issue between ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro, helps the teams here to prioritize functionality. Thank you!

The shortcut is a good option, but you can also just add the Explore tool (or any other tool that you want all the time regardless of the view you're in) to the Quick Access Toolbar by right-clicking > Add to Quick Access Toolbar.

priyank sameer I guess my thoughts/questions would be these: 1. What is the end goal of splitting the original dataset? 2. Are you splitting simply by the order in the table (e.g. ObjectID1-100, 101-200, etc.), or by spatial order? 3. Depending on the answers to 1 and 2, you might consider: 1. Sort using the shape field to sort features spatially: Sort—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop 2. You could split using the Split—Help | ArcGIS Desktop tool but that doesn't allow you to control the number of output features. 3. Reclassify your data Calculate Field examples—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop and then Split By Attributes—Help | ArcGIS Desktop based on the reclassed field.

Thank you for submitting your idea. It has been reviewed and is open to voting. In the meantime, you might try moving some of your work to an ArcGIS Pro project where you can have multiple layouts in the same project. Maps—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop While it isn't exactly what you're requesting, it might make your work easier by being able to create the three pages each as a layout and quickly export them. I understand that it would still be a workaround, but it might be a lot easier than having to manage entirely different map documents.
