xuankuai You mentioned that you are running ArcGIS Pro 1.3. My first recommendation is to upgrade to Pro 2.0.1 as there were things at 1.3 (notably annotation) that weren't supported. So it is possible that if there was something in the mxd that was not yet supported in Pro, it could cause the crash... conjecture at this point, but worth thinking about. Please upgrade to 2.0.1 and try importing the mxd that crashes in Pro 1.3. What happens? Let us know, and if necessary, we can continue to help from there. Thank you.

Xander and rob.wardARC, I just tested in the daily build of Pro 2.1 and this issue has been resolved. 2.1 should be out in January so upgrade when that is available and things should work well. Cheers

There we go - I can repro the issue now! With this new info I'll search our internal resources to see if this is already logged and if not we'll get it logged. Thank you for the follow up, Xander!

I've toyed with it some and don't see the "jumping" behavior described. I'm able to use the arrows to adjust the offset, and they stick. I can also type numbers directly and things are working fine. If you can provide explicit step-by-step instructions that will reproduce this behavior, we take a look, but at this point I can't make it work how you're describing. Cheers

roemhildtg You'll be able to add attribute tables to layouts at Pro 2.1 and there is a Query option for the table frame to "Show visible records" This should provide much of what you're looking for here.

Couldn't you save your most-used fonts to a style? Or even create a separate style just for fonts and save to that?

Duncan Hornby and Xander Bakker. It looks like the item alignment works in conjunction with word wrapping. So when I haven't enabled Word wrapping, for example on Labels, when I align labels to the right, nothing happens. When I switch over to Legend > Word wrapping and enable it on Labels: Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.

Xander and Duncan Hornby We have [BUG-000096166: In ArcGIS Pro, legend elements in the layout are unable to adjust to the settings for the Horizontal Alignment, Vertical Alignment, Offset X, and Offset Y Position properties and do not move as expected when clicking the Apply button] logged. I'm checking in with that team now to see if there is anything more to share at the moment in terms of status. It is currently marked as assigned. The workaround would be to convert to graphics and align... hopefully another update soon. Cheers

Thanks, Charles. I do think that you will need to work with annotations and treat them as a layer so that they draw beneath other features. I found this idea: https://community.esri.com/ideas/11484. Which is great because it is exactly what you're looking for!!! BUT what isn't great is that it is from 2 years ago and nobody from the user community has voted for it, meaning that it is unlikely to get any attention from the development team. I'd say go with annotation for now.
