Hi Sean, Can you give a specific example of Pro saving a change that you have not asked it to save in the project? Here is a map that I was working with to do a drag and drop demo... and then I started doing some subdivide polygon work in it.  This is how it opens up: No I will add some data, remove some data, change the projection, and turn of the map clipping that I had in place above from the mid-century map: Now I'll close the project and I'm asked if I want to save all those changes: I click No. I re-open the same project and nothing that I did was saved in the project. Hi Hein, Since you included ArcGIS Desktop as a category here, can you describe the desktop to web workflow here?  You're creating your maps in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro - how are you managing your metadata at that point?  What is the product that you publish to the web?  A full web map?  Web layers/services?  But you also describe images - are you exporting your maps as images only (.jpg, .png...)?  And want full metadata on the image? ... Faith, firstly, I apologize that you're running into a crash.  We want to help.  Have you submitted the error reports with your email address?  Here's a bit about why that is important: ArcGIS Desktop Error Reporter Learns Its Manners  which might be more helpful in the future.  But for NOW, could you go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\ESRI\ErrorReports and email me the latest handful of error reports.
