I need to do something similar; check for duplicates in a non-hosted feature service used by Survey123 while someone is filling out the survey. I can't use a javascript function because the survey is public. @IsmaelChivite any ideas??

I'm going to post my "solution" for anyone interested, which really isn't a solution but it's what I had to do. Hopefully the Survey123 team sees this and can investigate for future releases: After being 100% certain that the feature service and survey were share correctly, I decided that something wonky happened in Survey123 that I wasn't going to be able to fix. For some reason, even though my feature service was editable by users in my organization, Survey123 was set to allow submitters to "Only add new records" instead of "Add, update, and delete records". This setting was greyed out in the Survey123 website because it is a non-hosted feature service, and Survey123 would not allow me to change it. I deleted the survey completely and created a new one from scratch. This time, the setting was correctly set to "Add, update, and delete records". Now all users can edit all survey records. I made no changes to the feature service after initial publishing, so I don't understand why this happened. My organization is fully invested in Survey123 for our form solutions (even non-GIS), and it makes me very uneasy with all the random issues like this that I encounter. I can't keep having to delete and re-create surveys to get them to work.

Yep. Service is shared with the organization. Users can edit any features -- in fact, they CAN edit the data in the item details page, just not when the data is in a survey.

Yep, all of these are enabled: Query,Create,Update,Delete,Uploads,Editing. It also Supports ApplyEdits With Global Ids, which I saw was an issue for some people.

Hi. I'm going a bit crazy. I have a series of surveys that are all published off of the same NON-hosted feature service, which lives in my SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase. Enterprise version is 10.9.1. Each survey is embedded in a dashboard where a Portal user can go and update a record based on the globalid URL parameter. This worked fine in all my testing with both my username and a Survey123 Admin user that owns the survey. I'm able to update the records and I see them update in the feature service. However, now that I'm testing it with my portal members who will be the ones updating the records, they are getting the error: Editing is not possible because the record specified by the globalId parameter cannot be accessed. The feature service is editable, the Portal members are Field Workers with edit capability. The dashboard is set up correctly to use the globalid of the survey. I don't understand why it's not working. It has to be a permissions error? My googling led me to believe I need to allow submitters to update records, but because this is a non-hosted feature service I'm getting an error that I can't. Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks!

Hey Zach - It let us add the Advanced Form template (renamed to "Test"), press Create Survey, but then it just spun and spun indefinitely on "Converting XLSForm" and never created anything. Thanks! Shelby

Hi, I work for a local government and we've been having issues with certain computers not allowing Portal users to create any surveys in Survey123 Connect. The "create survey" button is greyed out completely. It is not a Portal permissions issue because the users can login on other machines and can also create surveys in the web designer. Esri tech support said it must be something wrong on our IT side, but we are all at a loss of what it could be. The machines that don't and do work are all at the same location on the same network. We tried running Fiddler on a machine that works and one that doesn't. On the one that doesn't, Fiddler won't let us capture anything and shows the error "Your proxy was changed multiple times by other apps" and won't allow us to reenable capturing. Is anyone versed in both Survey123 AND proxies/firewalls/networking have any clue what could be happening? This is so frustrating for our team and preventing us from getting important surveys built when only half of the computers work. It seems there is no rhyme or reason for it. I actually did not have a default language set. The survey responses started in English but once one was submitted in Spanish, the rest came back in Spanish. I set the default language to English and it fixed the problem. Thanks!

Hi. I've created a muti-language (English and Spanish) survey in Connect. I made the survey multi-language by using the label::English and label::Espanol columns according to these instructions https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/xlsformmultiplelanguagesupport.htm. Upon survey submission, I use Make.com to generate a Survey123 report and email the report as an attachment. Since deploying this workflow, we are experiencing very odd behavior with the reports. During testing, the reports were generated in English when data was collected in English. Now, regardless of what language the survey is collected in, the report fields are generating in Spanish and our email attachments are in Spanish, even if the survey was clearly taken in English. We are very confused. Any ideas?? Thanks! @JamesTedrick @Ismael

I created a survey yesterday in Connect and published it. It uses an existing feature service to collect data into. I can open it on the app on my phone, but on the web I get this error: "This survey cannot be accessed in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file." I am 100% positive that it is being published with a web form (I tried with and without), so I can't figure out what the actual issue is.

Hi - I'm trying to figure out if this workflow is even possible and if so how to do it. My dilemma: I created an ExB in AGOL that I need to migrate to an Enterprise 10.9.1 environment. I was careful to only use widgets that I knew were available in 10.9.1, but when I use AGO Assistant to copy the ExB from AGOL to Portal, I am getting an error that the ExB was created in a higher version and I must upgrade to open it. Problem is, you can't just upgrade the Portal ExB. My thought then was that I could use the Developer Edition to download the ExB built in AGOL, move it to the Enterprise environment, and deploy it there. This is where I'm getting stuck. I have the .zip file from my AGOL ExB. What's the best way to get this deployed as an ExB app in my Portal? Is the only choice to deploy it to a separate web server and maintain it separately from the Enterprise Portal? I was really hoping I could just get it as an ExB app in Portal. My other thought is I have to rebuild it from scratch in Enterprise to match what I have in AGOL. Ideas?? Thank you!!
