>The sketching and adding pins seems nice but those go away if you reload the map. Is there a way to save those? You can save the sketch in the form of a screen grab but it is local to the device. IF you drop a pin on the map you can add it to "my places" by tapping on the info icon and then tapping "Add To My Places" on the details page for that pin. This is a location that is stored on the device and can be used in future session of Explorer.

Adrian, The current version of Explorer for ArcGIS does not support offline mapping but does support the ability to sketch on a map. Just download it from the Apple or Google app stores and give it a whirl. You can use it without signing in to test out the functionality or log in to your org to get access to your data. With respect to Beta participation email me at bpierce@esri.com and I will send you more info. -Brent

Adrian, In full disclosure I work on the apps team at Esri and have worked on many of the field apps Esri offers. Collector for ArcGIS is a great option, it is a native mobile app focused on field data collection. So if you want to edit data in the field Collector is your best choice really. Survey123 is also a great choice for a survey based field data collection experience. In general, this (Apps for Everyone | Field) is a great site if you want a nice overview of all our field app offerings. Hope this helps, -Brent

Adrian, It sounds like your requirements will be best satisfied by Explorer for ArcGIS (Explorer for ArcGIS | ArcGIS) We are currently working on a release which will support taking your data offline as well as an improved markup experience allowing one to easily markup the map and share that markup across the platform. We will be opening up a Beta program early 2017. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you more information. -Brent

Clark, We are currently working on a version of Explorer which supports the Windows 10 platform. When we do release it it will support integrations with Survey 123 as well other apps like Navigator. It will also expose it's own URL Scheme which will allow 3rd party apps as well as our apps to integrate with Explorer on Windows. Hope this helps, -Brent

Fabio, I think what you are running into here is that the Text To Speach engine on your Android device is not working for the Portuguese language. We are currently working with Google and other manufacturers to resolve this problem in a holistic manner. For now, you should be able to install a 3rd party Text To Speach (TTS) engine on your device for Portuguese. Hope this helps, -Brent

Craig, To answer your first question, yes this would have some indication of Bearing and Distance ... key thing to answer here is where is the asset you are trying to find. To do this you need to know the direct to travel to get there and how far you have to go. This would of course be relative to your current location and orientation. As for timeline it's too early to tell. This is probably something that will work it's way into apps in the 2017 calendar year. Would love to hear more requirements in this area though. Any feedback we get helps. -Brent

We are considering adding this straight line way finding functionality to all our apps Collector, Explorer and possibly even Navigator as it is a key aspect to what field workers need to do on occasion. As mentioned in this trail Navigator is a turn by turn directions app but it might make sense to switch from turn by turn direction to a straight line mode for the last maneuver. -Brent

What I believe is happening on your Android device is that the native android mail client is filtering out this link as being malicious. The same thing occurs in the native messaging client. I know some people have gotten around this android limitation by building up a very simple HTML file with the URL scheme in it and sending that as an attachment. It is also possible to host a simple website and hit that site from the mobile browser of choice on your Android device. This will work if you are on iOS or Android. -Brent

Jana, Currently in the released software, Workforce is able to pass a single location of an assignment to Navigator and Navigator will in turn generate a route based on this location from the user's current location. There is currently no way for Workforce or Survey123 to pass a series of stops to Navigator out of the box. With that being said, it is possible to build up a URL which has all the stops you want the driver to visit and use that URL to initiate Navigator with a route. If this is something you are interested in I would direct you to this repository for documentation and code samples: GitHub - Esri/navigator-integration: Multi Language repository that contains documentation and sample code for creating … Hope this helps, -Brent

Matt, The Beta version of Navigator on Android is available which supports a custom URL scheme. It can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.esri.navigator&ah=I5UTVNjnXafwVUNpt7x-vfd5xH0 Also here is a github repository which explains the behavior and schema of the URL, also includes a number of code samples in various languages/platforms: https://github.com/Esri/navigator-integration Hope this helps, -Brent

Felicia Lin, We do plan to add the ability to share routes on the platform with named users who are using Navigator in the field. This is a development initiative which is currently underway but in the very early stages. It will allow one to use the many tools which generate routes on the platform and send these routes to "drivers" in the field. Happy to discuss further requirements. Please email me at bpierce@esri.com thanks. -Brent

Yeah I agree, the team has heard a lot of great use cases for this functionality at the UC last week and it is certainly on our roadmap. As for the tool tip above, yeah that is just plain wrong and misleading and is a bug that I will make sure to get into the queue thanks for pointing that out. Scott Sandusky Matt Crowder FYI

Hi Craig, Thanks for the questions on this. Just to be clear Optimized Routes and Shared Routes are two different but related concepts. An Optimized Route is really just a multi-stop route which has been optimized such that the ordering of the stops in the route are sequenced in the optimal order. At the 2.0 release of Navigator (which will be released in the coming weeks) there is an option to generate route optimized in this manner. This is a new feature at the 2.0 release of Navigator. Shared Routes is a broader concept that one will be able to use many of the great tools we have on the ArcGIS Platform for creating routes and sharing these routes with drivers in the field who are using the Navigator App. This is still being designed and probably won't be available until later in the year. The "Save" button in the Directions Widget which is part of the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer is merely a way for users who are already using this functionality to save the result of directions generated by the directions widget. Currently Navigator has no way of consuming these saved directions. Moving forward there will be one unified experience to generate, save and share routes in the platform with Navigator being the logical app to consume these routes in the field. The Umbrella term we are using for this, at the moment, is "Shared Routes". Hope this helps clear things up and thanks again for the feedback. -Brent
