It is coming later this fall. What platform are you using Kenny? Would you be interested in testing this out in beta when available?

Ian, I sincerely apologize for the pain here - I understand your frustration. Mark has some good suggestions to try, but I think best course of action is to get a support incident started. I have already reached out to support to get this going. If you have already started down this path, please let us know the support incident number you have. Questions I'd like to follow up (either here or as part of the support conversation) Does the source feature have True Curves in the geometry? Given the back and forth that I've read above - that the source data looks fine, but when packaged into an MMPK you get jagged lines when viewed either Pro or Explorer - i wonder if your data contains true curves in the geometry that could be lost during the MMPK publishing process? Hope to get this resolved soon for you, -Brent

Kal, Have you tried the tracker solution? https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/tracker/announcements/tracker-for-arcgis-v19-1-0-released/ We explicitly built this app to track your location efficiently. With respect to following a GPX track I would be very interested in the underlying problem your are trying to solve here. Seems like a really interesting use case can you provide more information. The next release of Explorer will provide what we call Compass Mode which is a way to use your device to find a specific feature when you are in the field. This is often used to get "as the crow flies" type directions to a feature in your GIS when you are near it in the field. Hope this helps, -Brent

Here is an example of what the URL scheme might look like here: https://navigator.arcgis.app/?routeItemID=6865ca0c6c764ba6bf33ef9839cf5953

Great to hear. The difference between route layers and stop lists is a little subtle but pretty important. Stop lists are literally just a listing of stops and Navigator uses this to create the route on the device. Routes are pre generated on the platform and include waypoints which are used to define the route geometry. The nice thing about waypoints is that we don't narrate arrival at those points along the network in Navigator. Route can also include barriers which is a pretty interesting feature if you have those.

Hi Chandler, I think the problem is that you're opening a stop list and not the route directly. The best way to consume a route is to share it with a named user and then open the route in the Navigator app directly. You will notice that there is a routes tab in the search tool in the Navigator beta. When that tab is active all the routes that have been shared with the named user you are logged in as should be listed. Tapping on any of these will load the route and only narrate the turn by turn directions when navigating because your route only has waypoints and not stops. Alternatively you can use the Navigator URL scheme to reference the route layer by referencing the RouteItemID. When the driver tap on a link of this type Navigator will launch and load that route directly.

HI Chandler, There is a switch to turn off the voice orations if you slide the panel up when you are Navigating. With respect to solving your workflow in a different way, in the Navigator beta we support the concept of Routes: https://community.esri.com/groups/navigator-for-arcgis-beta/blog/2018/09/28/routes-in-navigator You can use waypoints instead of stops for each meter when creating a route. This would define the geometry of the route but would not affect the announcements the drivers hear while following the route. Simply put, it would still help the driver drive by the meter and hear important announcements like where and when to turn but the orations would not get cluttered up with announcements for every stop (meters in your case). Here is a link to the beta site you can join here: https://community.esri.com/groups/navigator-for-arcgis-beta?et=invite.join.sgroup.unmodifiable Hope this helps, -Brent

Rudy, Are you asking how you could simulate what navigation would be like if you were driving for a demo or a test? Thanks, -Brent

Willliam, Our plan is to have the final release out before the Esri User Conference in July but as Mark states the iOS version of the app is pretty much feature complete we are just dialing in the quality now in beta. Android will follow shortly as we are just getting the last few feature into that beta as you read this. Thanks for the great feedback and your help testing the beta, -Brent

Nathan, Good questions. The Tracker for ArcGIS app stores all the track information locally first so it works completely offline. Opportunistically the track information is then uploaded to back end feature services when those services are accessible (e.g. you have connectivity). Explorer will just access the local tracks stored on the device and in that way will not be dependent on a connection to the internet of the feature service which powers the overall Tracer for ArcGIS solution. Hope this helps. -Brent

Nathan, Explorer on iOS and Android will support integration with the newly released Tracker for ArcGIS app. (Track mobile users—Tracker for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ) Our solution is for the Tracker app to be installed on the device alongside the Explorer app. If Tracker is on the device, Explorer will be able to easily overlay the tracks that are collected. In this way, you will be able to see your tracks online or offline as you view your MMPK. Here is a link to the product page for Tracker: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/tracker-for-arcgis/overview Hope this helps, -Brent Aaron Pulver
