Version 1.15 of Experience Builder developer edition is available for download. In addition to picking up four new widgets – Measurement, Feature Report, Building Explorer, and My Location (beta) -  and other highly anticipated new features from the June 2024 release of ArcGIS Experience Builder in ArcGIS Online, version 1.15 provides a better user experience when you download the app, allows you to use Map components from ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, adds more options for automated deployments. Let’s explore them. Download improvements Starting this release, when you click the Download button, you will see a popup window that allows you to select which languages to download, then displays the progress on downloading as shown below. More options for automated deployments The zipApp command adds an optional parameter with two properties – locales and configModifier. The former allows you to specify which locales to export. If it is not set, all locales will be exported. The latter allows you to modify the app config file before you export the app, such as the portal url. See Automated deployments for more information and the download-app.js file for examples. Use Map components You may want to create custom widgets using Map components from ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript. The sample widget below demonstrates how to use them. Shared code with assets In addition to share code between widgets, you can now share assets between widgets. When you put the assets files in the shared-code/assets or shared-code/lib/entry/assets folder, the assets will be copied to the dist folder during compiling. New documents A data action is a piece of code that processes data, such as Export to CSV. The API reference now adds data action interface and properties. Also, the new Widget backward compatible documentation describes how you can make widgets backward compatible. Breaking changes There are some breaking changes in Jimu libraries that may affect your apps. For example, the data source no longer queries all fields by default. Make sure to check these changes out before upgrading your apps. In addition, ArcGIS REST JS library is now upgraded from version 3.x to 4.x. Four new Storybook components include DataActionList, Draggable, IconPicker, and ImageSelector. The issue related to Node.js server running under the subfolder has been addressed.
