OK we have NO laptops on campus with the 1000M, lowest we go is 2000M (same architecture, higher-grade core).  My own personal demo laptop has fermi core too (4000M) and has no issues.  I've asked if we can procure one from our vendors. In the meantime, I'd like to pursue the possibility that the intel core is being used instead of the quadro core.  Can you try the following when ArCGIS Pro is running to try to determine which graphics core is being used? Click Start and then Control Panel. Select Classic View from the left side of the window. Double-click NVIDIA Control Panel. Click View and next Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area. Click the new icon in the notification area. A pop-up will show applications using the NVIDIA graphics. Do you see ArcGISPro.exe in this list? ... View more

I've seen this error message when you try to save and can't acquire exclusive lock on the aprx (for instance when more than one person has the APRX open).  That is a known issue that content management is working on.  Let me ping them about this. ... View more

OK I've pinged the appropriate team and we have some theories. Also, be aware this may be one of many issues the Pro team fixed in recent builds -  meaning you won't have the fixes in the current prerelease builds. I'm not aware of a workaround, but I seem to remember setting the appropriate properties for min and max scale on the service itself (in manager or ArcCatalog) being one thing to try.  Again - I merely saw it in passing - we're kind of juggling a lot of stuff here getting ready to ship Pro .  Did you submit to tech support? ...
