If you can log into your portal you should be able to add these Scene Layers to your "Scene" from the interface. after you log into your portal, go to "Scene" and click the "Add Layers" button there, then you can browse, search, or copy/paste the URL for your scene services.

sorry - hit add reply too soon! to do this, in your organization create a new group and add the Bing basemap to it. then under the Settings->Map tab, choose the group including the Bing basemap and check the box for "Share the Esri Default Basemaps to this Group when you click Save" to populate the remaining basemaps. the next time you log into your org from Pro, you should see the Bing Basemap in the list under the Basemap button.

now that you've added your Bing Key to your org, you should be able to add the Bing basemap to your map in Pro. However, you may need to add the Bing Basemap to a group in your org to see it in Pro's basemap gallery.

Mervyn, I can't speak to the whole design (my team works on the Graphics engine inside Pro) but I believe the problem is one of the intended use of the default geodatabase. The Project-oriented workflows in Pro are predicated on users using Projects in a per-project oriented way. That is, the default geodatabase for each project is specific to THAT project. If I understand what you wrote earlier, it sounds like you're sharing the same default geodatabase amongst several projects, then you will of course logically end up with a massive default geodatabase. Consider instead having a per-project default geodatabase, and using a Project Template to include connections to other geodatabases that are commonly used in each project. Either way, the forum for enhancement requests for pro is http://ideas.arcgis.com - there is a section there for Pro where you could suggest your above changes to packaging. Thanks! I'll look forward to seeing your repro cases in my bug queue .

Mervyn, I forwarded your comments on packaging issues to the appropriate team and they (like me) suggested that you work with Esri support to put together a repro case. They also noted that they could not repro the issue with being offline and packaging resulting in a crash in daily builds or in the current public release 1.1.1, so it's likely specific to your data or project. The default project geodatabase is packaged by design, that's documented in Share a package—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop As far as your question regarding direct contact: In general direct email with users is less desirable than working through support, since support has a system in place to track issues (and in fact also systems remind us to triage, assign, and in general move bugs through the resolution process) to be sure they do not get artificially deprioritized by many many many other conversations and responsibilities that people in development have to deal with on a daily basis. Also consider that support has people dedicated to interactive troubleshooting on the phone or over email - they can in general provide much more responsive support than those of us in development can. Regards, Jeremy W.

To add a second basemap (but NOT as the main basemap) you can add it from the project Pane, under Portals->All. Search for the name of the basemap (e.g Light Grey Basemap). Then you can right-click to add it to the map, and tweak the scale ranges for this and the other "Basemap" to achieve the effect you're trying to achieve.

PROTIP: If you're using another tool such as measure, an editing tool, or selection, etc. you can always hold down the C key to get back the Explore tool temporarily. Dr. Arundel, If you switch back to Explore tool or use the C hotkey, does that let you move in 3d?

looks like you need to: 1. add the dem to the ground surface. do this in Map Properties->Elevation Surface, click the "add data" button and path to your DEM. Once it's added, make sure it's on top. 2. Move the tiles to the 2d layers group. You want them to "Drape" on the DEM, not be flat tiles that are passing through it. 3. Make sure all layers are set to "on the ground" in the Elevation layer properties tab.

John, OK I checked with the licensing team and they said the following: 1. Taking a Pro license offline is not the same thing as "borrowing" a license as shown in license server administrator. You can only "borrow" a license in products that use concurrent licensing, such as ArcMap. 2. 31 days is the maximum amount of time that Pro can take a named user license offline from an on-premises portal. Kate, Just a guess, but to use the proper datum transformation with BNG (if using OSTN02 or some variant thereof) you'll need to copy the appropriate gsb file into the pedata folder of your installation. Unfortunately this means you have to do it twice - once for ArcMap, and once for ArcGIS Pro. This may explain the disparity between ArcGIS Pro behavior and ArcMap behavior. Here are some references (the data file itself, and an article from EsriUK on picking a datum transformation for your data: OSTN02 – NTv2 format | Business and government | Ordnance Survey geoXchange - geoXchange - Understanding which Transformation to choose in ArcGIS The pedata folder in ArcGIS Pro is in the \Resources\pedata subfolder of your Pro installation.

Sona, Can you provide example output at same DPI from ArcMap and from Pro to tech support? This may help us determine where the large time difference comes from. Here are some theories: - Vector data is RETAINED as vector even if it is transparent in Pro. This can result in a higher amount of data being written to the PDF in Pro. - Vector data is retained at a higher DPI in Pro than it is in ArcMap. - If you have multiple raster layers in your map, they will no longer be rasterized and blended into a single "Image" layer in ArcGIS Pro. They are retained as separate layers - potentially resulting in more data being written to the PDF file from Pro than from ArcMap. However it's all academic until you send your repro cases to support. Please do so so we can get development staff to take a look at the issue.

Wil, If you want your TINs to be separate surfaces, you can achieve this by removing them from ground, and adding individual "surfaces" on the Elevation Surface dialog under map properties. Then each individual surface's TIN (if you want the symbolization) will have to be changed to be "on surface 1" or "on surface 2" on the Elevation layer property page. Does that make sense? Regards, Jeremy W.

please make sure your GPU drivers are updated directly from the manufacturer's website (NOT from windows update). If you're still having trouble, please send details of your computer's configuration to technical support directly. The "can you run it" readout from the "check if your system can run ArcGIS Pro" link on ArcGIS Pro system requirements—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop should be sufficient.
