Hi Trey, When you have performance issues, please hit shift-e with the map view focused. This will give a large performance readout at the top of the view, including FPS, as well as the number of triangles being driven at any given moment. Post a screenshot of the 8 core machine when you're experiencing these performance issues and we can take a look. I'm guessing the number of triangles being driven (number after "FPS" in the readout) exceeds the GPU memory, which is causing thrashing to disc for geometries during rendering. If this is the case, turning on some distance visibility limits may help by limiting the view - you can find these per-layer in the General properties or on the APPEARANCE tab of the ribbon with the layer focused. Regards, Jeremy W.

ArcGIS Pro is one of a suite of applications in ARcGIS Desktop. We did add charting and graphs at Pro 1.2, but I don't believe we yet have scatter plots there yet. You will need to do the GWR tutorial in the application ArcMap (another part of the ArcGIS Desktop Suite).

Timothee, I've pinged the layout team about whether this is a known issue, but I'm not aware of it. PLEASE report the bug to Esri Support so they can get it in front of the team. This is a user-to-user forum in general so reporting to support is the best way to raise awareness of issues you find. Regards, Jeremy W.

The number after "FPS" is the number of triangles your GPU is handling - you've got 7m triangles and you're still getting 50FPS average - very nice. The display itself should not feel laggy for you at all at that framerate and min framerate. I noticed you're using OpenGL rather than DirectX - do you get better performance in OpenGL with the GTX? Tips: - you may get better performance from DirectX - but make sure you have latest drivers from NVidia. - You can use distance visibility to cut off some of that view if you want even better performance (on the general tab in layer properties). - Using the "strip" or "wall" symbology rather than "tube" will also help with performance as it reduces load on the shaders. As to the delay you're seeing when you go to Project menu - which items are greyed out? I do see a brief delay, but not the 30 seconds you're noting.

Hi Johan, Just heard back from the team responsible, they've logged issue BUG-000094983 for this problem. You can use that number to track the issue through normal support channels.

can you please hit Shift-E in one of your poor performance map views and tell us what you see there, or post a screenshot? Also screenshots of artifacts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Johan, OK so the two polys were in the _same_ database, which matches the issue confirmed in our testing. The team responsible has been notified and they'll investigate the source of the performance issue. Thanks for letting us know! FWIW the draw and data access of the single feature class without a join was confirmed by our regression tests and the team's testing to be much faster than 1.1.x, so clearly this is a case that needs to be looked into further for optimization.

Please send this in to Esri Support, so we can debug the repro case. Specifically, if you can send them a DAE that imports successfully in ArcScene but NOT in ArcGIS Pro, we could send it to the developer responsible.

From the symptoms it's probably the GPU that's affecting this. As Dan suggested, please run the checker for system requirements and see if you meet the minimum. Can You Run It? If you don't have a compliant GPU, or if the driver is out of date or corrupted, then Pro will drop back to "WARP" rendering - meaning it's using the CPU to emulate a GPU - which would explain the unresponsive behavior you've described. You can confirm this by hitting shift-e with the map view focused, this will display an overlay text whose first word will be the rendering engine you're currently using. Please run the "Can you Run It?" tool linked above, and post the results here.

you could also set the ground surface color to fully transparent. You can do this in Map properties->Elevation Surface. Set the color picker to "no color" and hit OK.
