Is there a way to automatically calculate a Length field in Classic Collector? I need to be able to use this field in webapps and Ops Dashboards and the system default field isn't available. I have created an Attribute Expression using Arcade in the pop-up of the web map, but that field isn't available for me to use in Ops Dashboard.

James, were you able to find any issues with my survey?

The ability to have a link at the end of a survey to allow the user to submit another survey would be very helpful for my organization. I am creating a survey for the dispatchers to use as a call log in the Systems Operations Center. Every time the phone rings, the dispatchers have to log information about the call. The Survey123 app has allowed me to improve the process by combining all the logs into one website, as well as the ability to create a dashboard that will show the volume of calls, types of calls, and if there are any that need to be closed.

I'm having a similar issue. The web version of the survey doesn't even load. I get a "Cannot read property '0' of null" error. It worked in the previous version, but hasn't since I upgraded to 3.1.126. I've tried removing all of the groups that I had created, as well as the cascading selects. Still no luck in getting the survey to work again.

I'm starting to think about managing wireless communications connectivity via GIS and am researching what products or capabilities exist in the ESRI platform. The first request I've gotten is to map the locations of "Power Cans" - could be a wireless repeater from a tower to the final product, could be a node to collect data from sensors or cameras, or a communications device. That task is pretty straightforward, but the secondary task of showing what is connected to each can (both downline and upline) is more difficult. Other than a field listing the downline devices (or several fields listing one downline device each), is there a way to connect the points? For example, if something happens to the Node, I want an easy and quick way to determine all of the devices that are attached to it downline.

Could something like this customization work for not allowing a user to zoom or pan the map in Story Map Journal? I have a story map setup using a webmap and each section turns on/off the appropriate layers. Everything works perfectly until a user tries to interact with the map and zooms or pans around. I want the map to not be interactive at all. Thanks for any help!

The Explode doesn't work. I can select the single feature, but then the command button at the bottom never becomes active. I tried it on this version, with everything, and on the test version with just a single layer. Same outcome. Sounds like I'm going to be able to add SketchUp to my list of known software by the end of this...

The multipatch is a single feature with a single attribute.

Well, I was halfway through the Spatial Adjustment toolbar directions when I received a geolocated skp file from the original creator. Yay! I am able to Import into a local scene in ArcPro and it lines up beautifully with the basemap. However, I'm still having the problem of the whole model (roads, buildings, trees, people, vehicles, benches, etc) being one multipatch feature. I'd like to be able to turn layers on and off and symbolize differently, as GIS-folk usually do. Do you know of a way to make ArcPro "explode" all those pieces into individual features? In the meantime, I have downloaded the free version of SketchUp and trying to force the model to my will. I've figured out how to explode or ungroup all of the features so that each house is one unique feature. I've also tested an export of a single layer from SketchUp (by turning all of the others off), which imports into ArcPro as a single feature, but at least all of the buildings are together and on their own layer. So, I'm getting closer to solving my problem, but it's going to take a lot of time to deal with all of these layers and making sure the parts I need are all on the same layer and then exporting the individual layers from SketchUp and importing them into ArcPro for symbolization (color changing) and the ability to make a webapp. Any additional suggestions would continue to be greatly appreciated!

This is the coordinates after I imported the skp again and defined the projection as WGS84. Not much different than when I imported the file without defining the projection. Is there a way to georeference the entire big feature? If so, I suspect that's what I should do before trying to explode all of the pieces into individual features.

It is a multipatch feature class. It also doesn't have a spatial reference. Can I georeference it like I would an image before I "explode" it?

Thanks for this tip! It took a couple of hours, but I downloaded and installed the extension. Then managed to import the skp file. But now I've got one feature with a hundred or so buildings and also some lakes, rivers, roads, trees, etc. Is there a way I can break those apart so that each building is one feature?

I've got a SketchUp file that I would like to import into ArcPro (or ArcMap) in order to create an interactive webmap. I've got 3D Analyst, and am trying to use the Import 3D Files tool, but keep getting an error: "model more recent than reader" Is there another way to get the features and attributes from SketchUp into ArcGIS? Should I have more files than one *.skp? Is there a way to determine the version of the SketchUp model by just having an .skp file?

I finally figured out the Puzzle - the idea is to use the Local Edits tool to move the pieces until they form a picture. But you can only see the picture from the Top View in a new viewport. Similarly, I've been able to change the heights of the individual towers of the castle until the bridges between them lined up. I still don't know if I've done them as expected, though. I'm still working through all of the other "problems", but expect them to take me another month or two at this rate. I feel like a rat that has gotten through the maze, only to find there is no cheese. Have a truly made it to the end?
