It might take a while, but I sometimes make "legend only" layers that I drop in the legend but have turned off in my map. Here you could add the soil acronyms on top of the color legend swatches as marker symbols, which are then spaced out accordingly, for example the letters below are on different symbol layers with their x offsets spaced out: the letter d is x=-8pt s=0pt d=8pt all stacked on top of one another Someone may have a more elegant solution to my hack here, lol, but maybe this will give you inspiration!

I think what everyone misses is the ability to easily do multiple lines and visualize a stretch of road for example, a slope that abuts the road, quickly and from many angles. The current tool, while certainly exhibiting the same functionality, does not operate with the ease of the former 3D profiles tool when trying to look at a particular landform from various profile lines. You have to export one by one to see the profile. We have scientists who, in ArcMap move along a river for example generating profile after profile moving downstream, just to get a "feel" for the topography, this is really slow now in Pro compared to the old school 3D Analyst tool. Maybe there is a way you guys could allow them to stack in the profile window somehow? Hopefully this is clear, maybe someone else missing the old way could chime in too.

I ended up getting this to work, thanks so much for your help. You know what my error was?! The difference between " and ' string vs. number - ugh, want to beat my head on desk - thanks again! var zone1 = FeatureSetByName($map,"Test - Zone1", ['Cost'])
var int1_Costs = Intersects($feature, zone1)
var zone2 = FeatureSetByName($map,"Test - Zone2", ['Cost'])
var int2_Costs = Intersects($feature, zone2)
return (Sum(int1_Costs, 'Cost') + Sum(int2_Costs, 'Cost'))

So if I have two zones with different costs associated with them, just repeat this and return for example something like: return Sum((int_zones1, 'field-to-sum') + (int_zones2, 'field-to-sum')) this is the part I'm stuck on - getting one total from these cases: sometimes there is a cost from Zone 1, sometimes costs from both Zones, and sometimes no costs. And Zones are on two different layers...

Hi there - I have a simple scenario but am struggling with the intersect portion of the expression and want to make sure I can do what I want to do within the Popup profile for Arcade. Example: I have a parcel layer on top of layers of irregular shaped polygons Zone1 and Zone2. Sometimes a parcel (grey outline) intersects Zone1(pink), or 2(blue), or both/neither. Each of the Zones has a "Cost" attribute as a double numeric data type. I'd like to click the parcel features and if they intersect one or more of the Zones have the costs added together and returned in the popup. Can someone nudge me in the right direction as far as an Arcade workflow, of which I'm sure there are many - thanks!

Nothing yet. Does anyone from ESRI (or anyone) have any ideas as to why this dropdown would not get populated? i.e. what is not talking to what in our Enterprise system? could it be a permissions issue with Server, or a security issue with Portal? I think if we could find the root cause of this little oddity our geoprocessing services might work again.

Thanks, I will do the same. I think we're on our third support tech in 2 mos. trying to solve this, who has now suggested we nuke everything and reinstall our entire 10.8.1 Enterprise - so not going well. Thanks again! One oddity is that we can't seem to select a Message Level when using the "Share As Web Tool", here's a snapshot - the dropdown is simply blank, maybe it's a clue for someone out there as to why our simple geoprocessing services won't run:

Hi Don - did you ever find a solution to this issue? We've been getting the same error with the simplest of geoprocessing tools, and ESRI support cannot seem to pin down the issue.

Is this still not available at 2.7? Seems so simple - draw a line on a DEM, look at elevation profile.

Is this still not implemented in 2.7? We have people that utilize the 3D analyst toolbar this way in ArcMap, drawing and deleting hundreds of lines until they're happy, or have analyzed whatever landforms they were looking at. Are you seriously telling me that they have to create these hundreds of lines ahead of time as a feature class and then run interpolate to shape, and then plot charts? The whole concept was an on the fly sketch of the elevation profile, why was this seemingly so easy in the ArcMap 3D Analyst toolbar, but now so complicated in Pro? They just want to draw a line on a dem and see what the profile looks like, then delete it and do it again and again. Am I missing something or is there no way to do this in Pro?

Hey Vishal - this may or may not help you, but we've noticed an increase in speed setting Pro to OpenGL vs DirectX graphics. Unrelated to this post but thought I'd throw that out there. Getting a machine with highest possible amounts of Cores/GPU/RAM would help too.

Same situation here, just to be clear no add-ins were used to create our layout graphics that went missing. I'm also a little confused how a "graphic" created with the drawing tools could have Z or M-values associated with them as discussed above. Unless I'm misunderstanding the difference between "graphics" on a layout and "features" in a map?
