Ah ok, I am able to clone my environment, but then Spyder would install, but not install. I get prompted to accept terms, hit install, but it never finishes, or shows up in installed packages. So a slightly different problem I guess... ... View more

So if we run into an issue say, during an upgrade to 10.9.1 where our datastore configuration has somehow lost the admin credentials and we need to restore from a backup, can we use the Enterprise backups we've been making to restore just/only the Datastore and fix the config login issue? I'm staring at the little blue striped progress bar now, it's been 45 minutes already...I'll edit this post when it finishes and post my time, I just googled "Please wait until the upgrade completes." and found this post. I don't remember how long this particular step takes but all of our Enterprise upgrades have taken at least 8 hrs to complete.  We are not what I'd consider a large company either, we are currently going from 10.8.1 to 10.9.1 and it's 3:30 PM, we started at 7:30 AM this morning...and I still have web adaptor for Server and Data Store left to install so yeah, def could be faster. Update: FYI it ended right around 4:30 - that's a big improvement from our past updates -- roughly 2hrs to complete just that "Continue Server Upgrade" portion of the install. ... View more

Yes, we actually use a cloud solution called Panzura, there are hardware devices in each office connected to the cloud and it's supposed to be a seamless multi-office solution.  We're familiar with the latency issues, used to be a lot worse a few years ago. ... View more

Thanks Scott - turns out there was something going on with our network that was causing Pro to freeze every ten minutes, I finally noticed that pattern and contacted our IT department.  Apparently bandwidth out of one of our offices had been maxed out for hours. Steps are simply drawing a new line/point/polygon, occurring intermittently it totally freezes, then in task manager I can see memory/processor fluctuating with Pro, but it never recovers. I then have to force quit from task manager and reopen my project. ... View more

Actually this is happening quite frequently again in the latest 2.8.2 release. Right now I'm staring at a selected polygon that has been deselected in the map, but is still highlighted no matter what I do in layout mode until I quit and re-open Pro.  The same thing happens when editing too, I will change the name of a point, then name changes in the attribute field and I save the edits. The point label however does not change no matter how many times I turn labeling on/off, hit refresh, edit some more hit save, etc. - it simply will not update until I quit out of Pro and re-launch. I think there is some buggy something in there that has not been addressed for a while - this post is pretty old. Happened for me a couple versions ago, seemed to go away, but is back with a vengeance in 2.8.2. ... View more
