It sort of looks like maybe the xib file is missing for the feature templates popup - if it uses a xib file. If the app is using storyboards something within the storyboard file might have been changed.

Are you using two separate AGSQuery objects? If not you may be overwriting the first query when you set up the second one.

We are also having issues with this - did you ever figure out a work-around or fix? We are also having issues with related records in a table not being included if the feature is related to it (vs the record being related to the feature).

Can you check to see if the toolbar tool is available? I don't recall where it is located off-hand, but I always get to it by searching for "runtime" in the search tool. I've found it does a better job of exporting than the menu option anyway. -Mike

So far the unit is quite painless to integrate. Once turned on and connected for the first time it pairs easily to an iOS device, which recognizes it as a GNSS receiver in the settings app. It seamlessly takes over for the internal GPS and delivers a corrected signal to CoreLocation. Since all this is handled by iOS we get an improved signal, but not much else in the way of information. Geneq, the manufacturer, is promising to release an API soon that will allow us to poll the unit for additional information and do some configuration... but until then we wanted a bit more information on what GPS we were connected to when our apps were running. We ended up using Apple's ExternalAccessory library to create a listener to receive notifications when a bluetooth device was connected or disconnected from the iOS device. When that happened we searched an array of connected devices to see if one of them was a GNSS receiver. This doesn't really give us much info on the quality of the signal, but until the Geneq API is released this will at least let us keep our users in the loop on which device they are connected to. We are about to start field testing and will be launching into a summer-long field collection effort using iPads and the iSXBlue II. Just curious if anyone else is using these units and if they have any experiences they'd like to share.

When I was getting the error I was attempting to implement the offline geodatabase layer using the code in the guide section of the developer site. After taking a step back (and having a stiff drink) I realized I needed to be initializing the localFeatureTable as self.localFeatureTable... that cleared things up nicely. Our iPads are now happily drawing a 13k polygon land ownership layer and making it look easy!

Using the toolbox tool to do the export works as expected. Using the "Share" method only exports a subset - and the number of records exported seems to vary with the moon phase or something... Anyway, for now the answer is pretty clear.

I'm attempting to create an offline geodatabase using the desktop pattern to display ~13k property ownership polygons in an iPad app. It seems like all of the records are not displaying in the map, and I confirmed this by checking out the .geodatabase file in a sqlite viewer... only about 10% of the records are actually included. Is there some sort of limit on the number of records that can be exported via the desktop tools?

I am also interested if anyone has seen this behavior before - empty featuresets always being returned as type "point". This still seems to be the case in 10.2.2

Based on my current understanding of the new tile caching mechanism ESRI has implemented with the 10.2 SDK, it looks like you basically submit a job request to an ArcGIS server - which then extracts and bundles up tiles based on your input parameters and returns them as one big chunk. That chunk of tiles is then stored on the device as a TPK file which can be accessed via AGSLocalTiledLayer. It sounds like you are more interested in doing something like GPSKit - which is basically scraping or systematically downloading tiles from a map service. If this is your goal, the ESRI SDK won't be much help. You are probably better off writing something based on the MBTiles SDK. If you want to then integrate your local basemap tiles with elements of the ESRI SDK you will need to implement a custom AGSLocalTiledLayer class that points to an .mbtiles file (basically a SQLite database). All the pieces are out there, but it still would require a substantial effort to implement. Not sure if anyone on this forum has done MBTiles SDK -> ESRI SDK integration already - if so, perhaps they'll share their experience. -Mike
