Hi Jonathan, A couple things you're going to want to keep in mind when migrating a Workforce Project and it's data to another project: Workforce uses a Coded Value Domain for storing the Assignment Types, so there may be gaps in the code for the Assignment Types. You'd see this in the new Assignments feature service when viewing the data. For the Workers and Dispatchers; the same issue can arise; you may have gaps in the ObjectID field for each of the feature services could cause issues in the new project. You can also see this in the feature service data. Can you go into a little more details on your comment about not being able to import the status fields? This should just work; the codes for the status fields should match up with the status field values in the new project. Craig

Hi Roger, It sounds like you're running into a repeatable issue with Chrome and several areas of ArcGIS. I'd suggest logging a support issue for it. You could also confirm that your version of Chrome is up to date; that might help with what you're seeing. Craig

thanks Tiffany, this helps to understand the use cases for each of the fields. Passing the GlobalID is definitely on our short term list. Passing Assignment Type information may be something we don't get to right away.

Hi Tiffany, A couple questions on the fields you've listed as being important to send to Survey123: For assignment type; this is an integer field with a coded value domain. Do you want to pass the integer value or the name of the assignment type? For assignment date, is this the Creation Date, Assigned On Date, or Due Date? For the assigned field worker; the Workforce schema is normalized, so the workerId field in the assignment feature service is a foreign key to the worker feature service. Would passing the workerId help? If so, how? Finally, for assignment number, is this the ObjectID, GlobalID or Work Order ID of the assignment? dick_e_IEHP and anthony.ryan_ergon please feel free to comment as well with your scenarios. The next release of Workforce, which we're currently working and moving into release certification, will have the ability to pass Work Order ID and/or Location text to Collector and Survey123. We're planning out what other fields to add and when, so this information will be very helpful. thanks for your feedback on Workforce.

Ming, "If Workforce allowed additional fields to be added, viewed and edited in the Dispatcher and Mobile apps - would this help? If it does help; what fields would you add?" ------ Yes, it will help! If the value of some of these fields can be passed from the attributes of the identified feature, if will be even better. For us, the FeatureID is "Must have". Other possible field could be accountNumber, MeterReading, etc. Ok, this is something we've discussed for a future release; I do not have a timeframe for it yet, but it is something we're considering. "We already allow the App Integrations to be applied at the Assignment Type level;" ------ Does this mean that different survey can be open based on the AssignmentType? Yes, this is possible with the released version of Workforce today. "Who is the user in this example? Is it the Project Owner, Dispatcher or Worker" -------- Project Owner. Ok, this will be possible with the release we are currently working on. Craig

Hi Ming, I am aware that the next release of WF/Survey123 integration may already have the ability to pass the WO-ID and location information to from WF to Survey123. The next release of Workforce will have this ability, we're finishing up the release now. WF contains very limited number of fields, we are going to use survey123 for collect more information in the field. If Workforce allowed additional fields to be added, viewed and edited in the Dispatcher and Mobile apps - would this help? If it does help; what fields would you add? We have an issue in our backlog to add the ability to also pass other fields from Workforce to Collector and Survey123. FeatureID (ObjectID) and GlobalID are both in the issue. WorkOrderID we will support in our next release. AssignmentType is not something we plan to pass. We already allow the App Integrations to be applied at the Assignment Type level; from your description I think this would help to solve the issue. c. Because each user have different requirements, is it possible to make the auto-fill/pass-value a configurable process in the set-up? In that configuration, user can select and map the fields for auto-fill. Or have the option, if the field name and type in the survey table match the field name and type in the assignment, the value will be passed over. Who is the user in this example? Is it the Project Owner, Dispatcher or Worker? Craig

Nikki, The only option I can think of at this time, is the use the Date/Time stamps for the Location Tracks and the distances between them to calculate the Speed. A search finds a few hits on how to do this: arcgis desktop - Calculating speed along point feature class (.gpx) in ArcMap? - Geographic Information Systems Stack Ex… https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=7f668753b7864c27a00f1fcf263aafd3 Workforce is planning to include speed as part of the metadata we write for each track location, in a future release. Hi Nikki, Workforce does not currently persist speed as part of worker location, but that is something we'd like to add in an upcoming release. You could use the worker tracks to calculate speed of the device, but it would be an estimate. Craig

Hi Jevita, Understood, there's a few ways that you could do this; but I believe this topic from the Online help is the best place to start: Add a layer from a CSV file—Get started with ArcGIS Online | ArcGIS Once you have the csv file added as a layer into Online, you'll be able to add that Layer to the Dispatcher web map in Workforce and use the features to create new assignments. You can configure the popup title for that layer to point to the Address information in the layer you loaded. This section of the Workforce doc walks you through that step: Create your first project—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS If you run into any issues doing this, please contact me at [email protected] Craig
