This is an issue we have in our backlog to address for the Fall Online release of Field Maps. That will mean it will be addressed in the 11.1 release of Enterprise. This issue is also logged with Support under BUG-000149211; you can contact Support or your Account Manager to have your account associated with the bug to receive updates.

@FionaRenton1 a few things on this At Enterprise 10.9, the Map Viewer (what is called Map Viewer Classic in later releases) does remove the form on Save, I can confirm this. The new Map Viewer Beta is available for use with 10.9, but is a separate install. It will keep your form and not remove it from the map if you want to install it and use for maps that have forms. I can also reproduce the behavior you describe with Find Locations being removed from web maps on Save, but I can only reproduce this when I have the web map opened in multiple browser tabs/windows. If use a single tab/window as I make changes, the information is not removed/overwritten. Wondering if you can confirm that; when you use a single browser window/tab you are not able to see the behavior of the Find Locations or forms being removed? thanks, Craig

@FionaRenton1 can you clarify: "In order to avoid custom Field Map forms disappearing I open the web map from within the web field maps interface to make whatever changes I need (symbology etc.) and save and close. This makes the underlying web map setting uncheck the check box for "Find Locations" (that allows search by attribute)....without me doing anything." - Are you opening the web map in Field Maps to edit the form? Or, are you opening Map Viewer from the Overview tab in Field Maps to edit the web map? Would like to try and reproduce this but struggling a bit with the steps. thanks, Craig

Closing the loop from the DM with @OznurGeze ; opening the csv in Excel can insert an empty row at the bottom of the file. By using Notepad (for Windows) this is avoided and the csv can be uploaded.

I've also tried with Chrome on Windows10 and the upload succeeds for me. Let's move to a DM so I can ask more specific questions, I'll send a message.

@OznurGeze thank you. I just tried to upload the csv into a Workforce project I have in Online and it succeeds, I do not see the error you mention. Wonder if this is browser/OS specific possibly. I'm using Chrome on Mac, what browser and OS are you using?

@ISDEsriNeA @SharitaU the issue is as @julian_svcs mentions, there is a trailing empty row in the csv file - this is bug in the template that we've addressed but older versions of the template file still exist. Removing the trailing empty line will address the issue and allow the import verification to proceed. I've attached an edited version of the csv that @SharitaU first posted. @ISDEsriNeA when you mention it is still not working, can you clarify? Does it fail with an error and if so, what is that? As @julian_svcs mentions, if you can, uploading the csv will help to quickly diagnose the issue.

@FionaRenton1 we're in the midst of the project for Workforce to be included in Field Maps. Timeline wise, this will be available in Online mid-late 2023. The functionality will be available in the Enterprise release that follows its inclusion in Online. Craig

The dates for Workforce integration in Field Maps have been pushed, we're now targeting 2023. For Enterprise, I don't have a release to provide at this time, it will depend on when the work is complete in Online. Craig

Mark, You should be able to workaround this by ensuring that all fields are added to the feature template, prior to publishing the data. This is the bug in Field Maps, we're only looking at the list of fields in the feature template when populating the list of fields under Default Values. If this doesn't work - please let me know. Craig

Sounds like this will continue to be a known issue in the Online Data tab but we'll address it in Field Maps. The Update privilege is the one you want to enable for this to work once we address the bug. Craig
