Here's another Parcel Fabric 2Torial! A quick 2 minute tutorial showing new features, workflows or other topics. Today's video details a commonly asked question. Have you ever imported symbology or configured your parcel layers, only to lose your parcel seed symbology? We've had many ask how to get this back. Here's a quick tutorial on how to re-create that seed symbology and configure it to display in your map. @Sothea_VOEUNAnother suggestion is a related table if you are just wanting to maintain ownership change overtime and do not want to consistently create a new geometry. This related table could contain the ownership information of given parcels and can be updated with new rows dictating new owners for different units. Each row would be tied to a specific unit in a specific condominium complex. I guess a further question I would like to ask is what are your requirements for maintaining this information?

Hello @Sothea_VOEUN If a simple attribute change won't trigger the parcel history to occur. However a workflow that can be done is to create a new record. Select the condo parcel. Run the Duplicate Parcel tool and just duplicate it once. Then retire the previous parcel. Now you will have the proper lineage. The retired parcel will be retired by the newly created record. And the duplicate parcel will be the current parcel, created by the new record. Hope this helps

Hello @Sothea_VOEUN Yes, this can be done. Since the parcel fabric itself is a system of record, you can create a new record each time there is a transfer of ownership. You can use our tools to duplicate a parcel once on the same floor and retire the older parcel. The new parcel will be the current owner and the now retired parcel will be the previous owner. You can then use the range slider to see the transactional history of the parcels within the building.

Hello @T_R , Would you be able to send me the courses you are entering? You can also just send me a picture of the traverse pane after you've entered all your courses. Then could you also send me the traverse file that you've saved? I tried testing your steps on 3.0.3 and I am unable to reproduce what you are seeing. Thanks! Jason Camerano

Hello Parcel Editors, Here's a 2torial (a two minute tutorial) on a new GeoProcessing Tool in ArcGIS Pro 3.1; Export Sequenced Parcel Features. This tool allows you to select a single parcel in the fabric and export that parcel and all of it's features to a separate dataset. You will get the parcel polygon, all the parcel lines, points, connection lines, record geometry, and any other relationships maintained by that parcel. The lines and points will also be sequenced in a clockwise fashion. See how to use the tool below! Stay tuned for another 2torial where you will see how to create a simple Title Map utilizing Layouts and this new geoprocessing tool. Here are some helpful links with more information on this geoprocessing tool: Export Sequenced Parcel Features Creating Parcel Layouts What's New at 3.1 (another demo using this geoprocessing tool)

Hello Parcel Editors, Here's a 2torial (a two minute tutorial) on a new feature in ArcGIS Pro 3.1; Strata Parcels. This new functionality allows you to enable floor awareness for any parcel type. Simply adding the new field FloorOrder (type LONG) to both a polygon and line feature class of a parcel type will enable this new functionality. Watch this video to see how to make your vertical parcel data more accessible both in 2D and in 3D. For more information on all the features seen in this video please check out the following links: Strata Parcels at ArcGIS Pro 3.1 Elevation Surface Layers Data Extrusion Range Slider

Mike Snook – GIS Manager Missoula County Montana. Missoula County has long integrated Montana State Department of Revenue (DOR) data into daily workflows when updating their county-wide cadastral system. Using DOR data allows for quality assurance checking for both entities when it comes to verifying the correct legal description for assessment purposes. Missoula County also integrates County Surveyor plat review data into the cadastral update process for a streamlined method of parcel input through the use of custom add-ins for ArcGIS Pro.

Hello @AndrewWallick One way to have a specific layer set on the Traverse tool is to use it in a Task. If you have a workflow where you are traversing specific lines (or polys) you can create a Task and set the Traverse as the action for a step. You can preset the layer that is set in the Traverse tool when that step is run. Also @LucasBeauchamp the Traverse tool does remember the last layer you were editing within the instance of Pro. If you close Pro it will reset to the top line/poly feature alphabetically. -Jason

Just to let everyone know, at 3.1 there will be an option in the back stage (Editing section) that will allow you to set the default tool when deactivating editing tools. You can now always revert back to the last used Select Tool when exiting Edit Vertices for example.

Hello @BinhLe2 I've tried testing at the latest version of the software (Pro 3.1 and Enterprise 11.1) and I am unable to reproduce this behavior. I've created some lines with a domain and tried using split with and without a record and the domain value is preserved in all cases. I did make sure to set my split policy on that domain to Duplicate, like you stated above as well. If you are still having issues you could contact technical support and they could take a look at your data and see if they can diagnose the issue. Thanks, Jason Camerano
