Hi Mohsen, Have you read this blog post? It might be a good place to start. Migrating to Android Studio | ArcGIS Blog Android Studio uses the gradle dependency management framework to get dependent libraries required by your project. This is quite different from how you referenced your arcgis jars from within Eclipse. I hope this is helpful. Let us know.

Right. Yes, with 10.2.8-1 there isn't an easy answer. What you could do is check the validity of the URL and then decide what other known service to add instead. At version 100, this becomes a bit easier to handle, as you can loadAsync the service layer, verify that it loads successfully in the doneLoading listener, then from there, decide if it should be added to the map or not. Does this help at all?

"b) Will you support Military Overlay point clustering/aggregation?" Probably not for a while. "c) Will you open the rule engine specification for dictionary renderer, so developers could leverage their customs symbols within ArcGIS Runtime?" We will provide a way for users to develop their own custom symbols soon, with the help of ArcGIS Pro. "a) Will you support displaying shapefile? Default reprojection and retrieving field names are also very welcome." Yes. Sometime in 2017. "b) What OGC layers (along with their capabilites) will be supported? I would be nice to have a WMS, WMTS and WFS fully support in ArcGIS Runtime." WMTS and WMS layers will come first. All capabilities that were there in previous versions. WMTS will be in Update 1. Working on WMS as we speak, but not sure yet if this is Update 1 or Update 2 (2017). We are hoping to add WFS support in a future release. Adam, as always, your questions and feedback are gold to us. Thank you again.

Thank you for the question. Layer files are not supported in this release. As you've mentioned, layer files are very closely tied to the older ArcMap/Engine platform. Layer files were key for persisting and linking symbology and rendering information to source data. The mobile geodatabase can do the same thing today, actually.

Hi Taner, When you say, "template table", are you referring to, for example, an empty feature service with a predefined schema with which to start collecting data? This is possible. You simply create a feature service from scratch, which allows you to define the schema you want to use, without the need of having features to begin with (I hope I understood your question correctly). Here is a good topic to get started with: Editing—ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Qt | ArcGIS for Developers Let me know if I've misunderstood.

Hi Niladri, I bet the guys here who work more closely with Xamarin could shed some light on the issue: https://community.esri.com/community/developers/native-app-developers/arcgis-runtime-sdk-for-net ttilton

It sounds like your emulator can't find the image file. Which makes sense, because the emulator doesn't know anything about your desktop's file system. In your code, "Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory()" will give you your emulator's SD card root location (/storage/emulated/0 .... or often just /sdcard/). If you want the emulator to find your image file there, you can 'push' your file from your desktop location to your emulator's virtual drive. Open a command window and use the adb command (found in your android SDK home) as follows: adb -s <emulator name> push <local file on desktop> <remote file on emulator's sdcard> For example: adb -s <your emulator's name> push c:\images\my.tiff /sdcard/my.tiff Now, you may need to refresh or restart your emulator. After that, your code should find your image file correctly. I hope this helps you. Android Debug Bridge | Android Studio - this is a cool adb commandline reference, by the way.

The Android API at 100.0 doesn't support this yet. However, at 10.2.8-1 you can query an ImagerServer Service layer, which can be served from a DTED. Does this help?

Thanks for this. Have you downloaded the new update, since 12/10? Is this the version you're still seeing the crash with?

The linux version of LocalServer is on its way. We just need to finish it up and put it on the download site. It wasn't quite ready when we went live. Stay tuned for an announcement soon. Thanks!

We've updated the sample viewer so it shouldn't crash anymore. You may see an exception thrown in a console if you run it from command line, but it shouldn't crash anymore, at least. We're working to figure out the cause of the exception. Thank you again for reporting this! Also, this updated version includes a few more samples for working with local raster files.

Thanks for letting us know about this. Is this Windows 7? 8.1? 10? How often does the crash occur? Is it non-deterministic, or does it happen repeatedly when you do specific actions? Thanks
