Hi Paul, Q1) Is it correct that a viewer, level 1, still requires a named user account? A1) Yes, level 1 is still a named user account. Q2) Are the licensing costs going to change based on the number of named users at each Level? A2) I can't comment on this as ArcGIS 10.5 is not final. I suggest you reach out to your local Esri account manager/Distributor to get more details. Hope this helps,

Hi Shuhong, From the screenshot your provided, it looks like you have 4 named user accounts licensed for your Portal for ArcGIS 10.5 PreRelease. 2x for membership level 1, and 2x for membership level 2. Hi Cheryl, > Followed the Model Organization for Water Utilities, created all the groups as shown but we are unable to go further. How do you link the items, users & roles to these groups which were created? I'm not familiar with this, can you please send a link to access? EDIT: Just found the link here: Model Organization for Water Utilities | ArcGIS for Water Have you followed the set-up/configuration directions here? Overview - Model Organization for Water Utilities | ArcGIS for Water > Can groups be nested? No, Portal for ArcGIS does not support nested groups. Please vote for this enhancement request here, Nested Groups in ArcGIS Online Even though it's for ArcGIS Online, it also applies to Portal for ArcGIS. > Could anyone point me to a webinar, video, documentation which will be helpful? Hi Poonsak, > There are some changes from the customer about edit configuration setting in portal web administrator. I would investigate this further and find out exactly what your customer modified in terms of "configuration setting in portal web administrator" because it may have affected how Survey123 Connect communicates with Portal. Was it a change to security settings? Authentication? Valid logins to Portal? Role permissions? This would be a good place to start troubleshooting. Hope this helps,

Hi Wilson, Q1) If we would like to use Amazon cloud, can we use our existing ArcSDE (oracle based, hosted in-house) A1) While this might be technically possible, this is definitely NOT a recommended deployment pattern. You would likely get poor performance and will have to deal with security/firewall issues between your hosted in-house enterprise geodatabase and your ArcGIS Server in Amazon instance. I recommend that you migrate the geodatabase into the Cloud, see help topic: Geodatabases and ArcGIS Server on Amazon Web Services—ArcGIS for Server (10.4) | ArcGIS for Server Q2) Is there a first time setup fee charged by Amazon? A2) You will have to get an Amazon Cloud account set-up before you can use the ArcGIS Server Amazon Machine Instances (AMIs). I suggest you reach out directly to Amazon to discuss costs. Q3) Do we need a load balanacr if we are using Amazon? A3) This will depend on your deployment specifics. Please review this help topic: Amazon Load Balancers and ArcGIS Server—ArcGIS for Server (10.4) | ArcGIS for Server Q4) Is there ongoing maintenance and support cost charged by Amazon or ESRI? A4) With respect to ArcGIS Server in Amazon, you would likely pay annual maintenance - but it depends on how your Esri software is licensed. Please discuss with your local Esri account manager/Distributor for details. Regarding Amazon Cloud costs, please reach out directly to Amazon. Q5) What’s the traffic and data usage cost for both the ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE access hosted by Amazon? A5) Again, this will depend on usage, traffic, how much content you plan on storing in the Amazon cloud, etc. There are many factors involved - please discuss further with your local Esri account manager/Distributor. This video is a little old, but may provide some insight with some use cases, Home | Esri Video This whitepaper may also help: https://www.esri.com/library/whitepapers/pdfs/estimating-cost-gis-cloud.pdf Q6) Any suggestions or strategies A6) FYI, help documentation is available here: What is ArcGIS Server on Amazon Web Services?—ArcGIS for Server (10.4) | ArcGIS for Server Hope this helps,

Did anything change with your Portal hosting server installation? the network? your Survey123 Connect install? between the time it worked and the time it stopped working? Can you verify that your GIS Server site and ArcGIS Data Store installs are working correctly?
