Thanks @OwenGeo , That's reassuring. There has been a lot of functionality within the classic templates that either hasn't been available or has only recently become available within the new story map template, which has meant it simply hasn't been feasible to move stories to the new template yet (not to mention the preference of many clients for the older templates!). If I can lobby for the extended support to be as long as possible that would be great! All the best, Helen

Hi @OwenGeo , Thanks for the update. Can I just add my voice to those requesting that the classic story maps remain editable for as long as possible? Many of my clients don't have the desire to update their stories to the new template (nor the budget to do so); but they may want minor updates to their maps over the coming years. Please don't pull the rug out from under our feet on this one! Many thanks, Helen

Hi, One of the feedback items I've had from clients is that the new story maps are harder to navigate than the classic ones (e.g. the map series tabs can be customised so that they really stand out and you can see which page you're on very clearly). It's much easier to get lost in the new templates, particularly as you can scroll between sections without realising that you've done so! I've looked at this with the new story maps, and it seems it's only possible for the menu bar to be either black or white, or the same as the background colour for the rest of the story, so it's very hard to make it stand out. If it could be customised in the theme (with a changeable background colour for when a tab is active), it would be super helpful. Thanks, Helen

Hi @OwenGeo , Would you be able to confirm when extended support will continue until for the Classic Story maps? I had understood that we would be able to continue to edit existing classic story maps into the future - a number of my clients much, much prefer the layout style to the new story maps, and the thought that we might not be able to edit their story maps over the coming years is mildly terrifying! Thanks Josh, It's very rare for me to be mapping in anything other than British National Grid, so I hear you! It is a map widget, but I can't see any message actions associated with the map (only the associated list). I'll keep exploring, it might be that I can get the list to be the 'thing' that's selected when I first load the page, and then use that to trigger a message action to zoom the map... I've also just experimented with having the map zoomed to a custom location within the settings, so it stays at that zoom level but moves around when it first loads... it kind of works but is a little clunky! It's getting late here so I'll pick this up again tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help, really appreciated. Helen

Thanks Josh, I'm trying to get it to work with a map within EB - I've put a rough example together here: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/95e2ca6befde4ae4809f7b9b7da70f1a/ So if you click the 'URL with attributes' button, it will load a page with a map and select a feature on the map, but I can't seem to get it to zoom in to the selected feature automatically.

Hi all, Following on from my earlier question, I'm trying to work out if it would be possible to zoom to a map location using a URL. Thanks to @jcarlson I can pass a selected feature via the URL, and next I'm trying to zoom to that feature. Any pointers gratefully received! Thanks, Helen

Hi, I'm trying to use a button to link to a URL and pass a value from a data source. I'm struggling to find any documentation on how to do this, and my random guesses at how to build the expression are not fruitful! Could anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks, Helen

Hi, I wonder if any of the Experience Builder developers would be able to take a look at this? (@Jianxia I'd be super grateful for any help you can provide!). When I add animation effects to a map frame they seem to stop loading altogether in an Experience. Hi there, I'm integrating a Survey 123 questionnaire with an Experience that I'm trying to build. I'd like the user to be able to enter a location on a survey, and then when they complete the survey they'll be taken to the experience landing page. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could zoom to the location they've just entered on the first page of the experience? Many thanks in advance for your help! Helen

Not sure if this already exists somewhere and I've missed it, but it would be super helpful to go to a feature layer properties and see which map(s) were using it, both within our organisation and beyond.

Hi James, thanks for that - I'm not currently a Portal user so I can't give it a go, but glad it's working better for you! Out of interest, I heard from ESRI today that they have logged one of my issues with the Attribute Table widget as a bug, so hopefully it will get fixed at some point in the future...!
