jiminfla8899, OK, but are you able to access http://123.123.123.123/arcgis/rest/ from outside the network?

jiminfla8899, Well that explains a little more than. So do you access your other web app though an IP address like http://123.123.123.123/mywebApp or something like http://mywebserver.com/mywebApp? If you have to access your site using an IP address than you also have to use the IP Address in your config.xml when specifying the URL of your map services. Can you access the REST Services page from out side the next work http://yoururl/arcgis/rest/ ?

jiminfla8899, Yep it is simple on your end but how the outside world get's to your machine (if that is even allowed by your ISP) is the difficult part. You might get a dedicated IP address but across what port? ISPs' normally multi use a specific IP address by just using a particular port so that they can get more customers without having to purchase more hardware and give out 100% dedicated IP addresses.

jiminfla8899, Even with a static IP Address from your ISP there is no guarantee that the standard port 80 traffic is actually getting directed to your machine and not though some secondary port that the ISP dictates. I think I will bow out of this thread as I am form a corporate network work and have no experience working with a network that is not under our control. Good luck with this.

jiminfla8899, Are you talking about a corporate network? Are you saying that you turned off the hardware firewall that all your companies computers on your network is behind...? Do you have a static IP Address from your ISP provider? I think we might be talking apples versus oranges here.

jiminfla8899, It highly likely that your server is inside your firewall and inaccessible for the outside. You likely need to discuss this with your IT personnel.

James, Using Adobe Illustrator and Catalyst you can do this and that is exactly what Catalyst was designed for. You need to research these products.

Nestor, I can not explain this odd behavior but would ask that you test this using the default searchWidget and see if the results are the same. The one thing I will say is that the reason I created the enhanced Search Widget is because I wanted a way to get more results back about a parcel without having a huge info popup. So you might want to limit the info popup to a more limited amount of data and just have the grid display all the rest.

Josh, Are you ready to jump into some real coding? That's what this will take You will have to modify the MapManager.mxml to turn on and off the esri basemap using an event listener for extent changed. As far as the units ESRI's basemaps (the newer ones that the viewer uses) are in webmercator WKID:102100. There has been several discussions of this in the old forum. http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=158&f=2421&t=295797&mc=12#msgid923366

Neil, OK studying the code tells me that won't work either as you figured out. So I guess hyperlinks are a no go until they get that finished in the SimpleInfoWidget.
