Your screenshot indicates you are using an old version of the software. I can't reproduce this issue. Can you upgrade? It looks like a bug in an older product. Regards, Eric

I just realized that is the landuse raster from the Spatial Analyst tutorial data. I'm guessing you didn't do anything to it yet that would require a rebuild of the table?

Greetings, Try rebuilding the raster attribute table. Some operations (tools) do not automatically update the count field. For example, if you clip a raster, the result will have count values that reflect the original counts. Maybe your table is out of sync with the data. Just a thought. Regards, Eric

Joe, Its a bug in the software and I put the tracking number in your other post. Extract by Mask will work, or getting 10.1 Beta will work (the fix is in beta for Clip). Best Regards, Eric

Greetings, Are you inputting the drawing file or the data? It might be easier (but unneccessary) to just convert your dxf file to a feature class and then load the feature class into the TIN. I've created many TINs from AutoCAD data without conversion though. Some screenshots of your DXF file displaying in ArcMap would be helpful. Regards, Eric

Greetings, Check out the Zonal Statistics tool with the Mean statistic, or the Zonal Statistics as Table tool which will return multiple meaningful statistics in table form. Regards, Eric

Joe, The workaround in 10.0 would be to use Extract by Mask from Spatial Analyst if you have it. If you want to get 10.1 Beta, this bug is also fixed in that version. The tracking number for this issue is NIM067762. Regards, Eric

Michael, The Times tool or the Raster Calculator are the most straight forward options for doing simple unit conversion. I suppose if you wanted to get fancy though you could make a mosaic dataset out of the data in decimeters and then apply the Arithmetic function to change your units on-the-fly. Did you ask for alternatives because you don't have SA or 3D? My alternative method only requires ArcEditor with no licensing required for extensions. Eric

John, I have linked this thread directly into the enhancement request, so all concerns are highlighted and known to all internal staff who would do the implementation. We'll be sure to handle your areas of concerns appropriately. Thanks again! Eric

Hi Keagan, Unfortunately, there is not a way to batch define the base heights in ArcScene for multiple images that need to be draped. However, if you take the time to do it, I would suggest creating layer files for each draped image. This way if you set up a new scene document in the future, you can just load in the .lyr files and the base height property will already be set. Essentially what you're asking for is something similar to the Mapping Module (for ArcMap) which provides some methods for automated mapping, but you want it to be for ArcScene. An example of the mapping modules capabilities would be to change a layers datasource (in every map it is in) through python scripting. Other's have been interested in a "Scene/Globe Module" recently as more people see the benefits of having the mapping module for ArcMap. All I can say is it's being discussed for the future, and that we recognize the benefits of providing this type of functionality to ArcScene and ArcGlobe users. Best Regards, Eric

Greetings, You can make a model in model builder using Raster to Polygon and the Iterate Raster tool. If you are uncomfortable with model builder, you can always right click on any geoprocessing tool and select 'Batch' to run the tool in batch mode. This may help get you started. A quick tour of batch processing Best Regards, Eric

Hi John, I think the confusion originates from us using the term "weighted neighborhood" in regards to the Mean statistic. The documentation could be enhanced and I've spoken to the tool owner. As you must have noticed when you choose what statistic you want from the Statistic Type parameter, there isn't an entry called "Weighted Mean"; There is only "Mean". Based on your result set, the tool is functioning as designed. We returned the mean value of your weighted raster based on the kernel file you provided. I submitted an enhancement request on your behalf to incorporate weighted mean as a new statistic type. You can track it with NIM072396. It shouldn't be that hard to do - afterall we just need to sum the weights and use the sum in the denominator. Thanks for pointing this out! Best Regards, Eric

Hi Justin, I will get to how to manage the points, but I want to first suggest you download and install 10.1 Beta. There is a new tool called Intersect 3D Line with Surface that greatly enhances the workflow I previously outlined. Mainly you don't have to do steps 2 - 6 in the previous directions listed under "Intersect 3D Line with Multipatch". You obviously don't have to do this, but you'd get to see some of the other new stuff and we always appreciate an opportunity to get feedback on new tools. As for the points... Are your input features and target features in Construct Site Lines the same? It sounds like they are. It seems like you want to connect record 1 to record 2 and record 2 to record 3 recursivley until all connections have been made. Is this correct? Is the data sorted by date/time because you opened the table and told it to sort on your date/time field, or is that how the data entry was actually done? In other words, is FID/OID of 1, the record at the top when going by date/time? If you could send a small subset of the data (just 5 records)that would be easiest for me to understand the structure and get on the same page as you. Also, it might help to know your license level, since some of the tricks up my sleave often require an ArcInfo license. If the data is in a single feature class and you need to 2 point lines from one record to the next I think we can accomplish that with the Points to Line tool and follow it up with Split Line at Vertices so that each line segment becomes its own record. I'll know more when you get back to me. If you can't send a subset, could you take some screenshots and send responses to my inquiries. Thanks, Eric
