That is correct, at 10.1 and 10.2 you have the ability to share services to ArcGIS Online. New functionality has been introduced to ArcGIS Online (documentation here) that allows a user to upload a file geodatabase to ArcGIS Online and have the contents hosted as a service. What is unclear to me at this time is if the 'missing' domains in the resulting feature service is a bug, or, if that is an omission by design. --Tim

I have experienced the same behavior. When I publish a hosted feature service from ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2, domains are present / dropdowns are available when editing the resulting hosted feature service. However, domains / dropdowns are not present in a feature service that was published from a zipped file geodatabase. So far I have experienced this when uploading and choosing to publish a service - not sure if the same behavior exists if you publish as a separate step. --Tim

It is 10.2, running on Windows 7. I wasn't aware of this bug, but the description fits the two cases where I have experienced the issue. --Tim

Was the original poster able to resolve this issue? I am now encountering the same error with a client. I have recreated the replicas, and have tried importing changes manually via geodatabase and xml without success. Environment details: Parent GDB: ArcGIS 10.1 / SDE Standard Enterprise / SQL Server Standard 2008 R2 Child GDB: ArcGIS 10.2 / SDE Personal / SQL Server Express 2008 R2 One way replica parent > child.

I am experiencing the same error in our environment. Some additional detail: -Using ArcGIS Server on AWS -Upgraded previous machine(s) from 10.1.1 to 10.2.1 -Using LDAP as credential store, hosted on another instance -Not using Web Adaptor -GIS Tier authentication I have added rules to allow TCP/UDP traffic for ports 389 and 636 between the security groups of the ArcGIS Server instances and the instance hosting LDAP. Same error as the O.P.: Unable to connect to the identity store using SSL. ArcGIS Server will revert to using a non-SSL connection to the identity store and credentials will be sent in clear text. In order to use SSL, verify that your identity store has SSL enabled. simple bind failed: <ServerName>:636

My understanding is the ability to query related data requires feature access to be enabled on the map service, which requires that the data be in an enterprise geodatabase (SDE). Have you tested a map service referencing your data in SDE (not the exported FGDB)? Here is an article from the .NET help: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisserver/10.0/help/arcgis_server_dotnet_help/index.html#//009300000021000000

I opened a case with Esri support and found that this behavior is a known bug - NIM073706 - that pertains to running the Add Attachments tool against data that is registered as versioned. The work around that I used was to compress my database, unregister the feature dataset and attachment table as versioned, and then run the tool. After the tool ran successfully I registered my data as versioned again. --Tim

This is the only thread that I have come across that addresses this issue, but I am experiencing the same behavior in ArcGIS 10.1. Just like the original poster, I have tried: 1. GP tool and python via python window in Desktop. 2. Tried running GP tool in an edit session. 3. File(s) exist on disk on the machine that I am running this tool from. 4. Tried mapped drive and local paths. 5. I can add an attachment manually, so that is working and I have the necessary rights to do so. 6. Tried running GP tool from Catalog and Desktop 7. Etc. The error is the same as well: "Cannot add file 'X' to feature with OID = 'X'" The feature class participates in a replica, so making a copy is not an option. The environment is ArcGIS for Desktop Standard 10.1, SP1. Database in SDE; geodatabase version matches the ArcGIS release. Thanks! Tim
